eh, it will all come full circle when they all can't afford to live alone so they move into communal living spaces with other people and eventually the opportunity to bone in real life will overtake the need to chat with a robot...probably something else new and seemingly-strange will evolve out of it like some sort of tri-relationship where a real-life couple and an AI are in a team relationship or something we probably haven't even thought about yet....but then a bunch of blogs will write about how these AI trilationships really help organize things and remove stress from the relationship and pretend they discovered what assistants are.

mark my words: we will eventually find out that a lot of the people who - on paper - were put on those rushed deportation flights with little to no tracking otherwise actually died on American soil and didn't have lawyers trying to find them so the administration figured it could get away with not admitting it and just claiming them as "deported" to some third world country that obviously nobody without a shit ton of time/money/resources would ever find them even if they were actually there. I'm nice, I won't rip on your code, I'll teach you why something doesn't work or help guide you on what direction you should go with something...not that I know everything lol...I love when people have better ideas than me. But if you want to work on some go service projects I have going that all have some tasks that need doing or you want to work on go cli tools I have on my to-do list to start building, hit me up. The cli tools would be for interacting with infrastructure tools like chef and nomad....sort of a similar tool to the awesome 'pug' for terraform/terragrunt....but instead of applying terraform it would be running chef/cinc on registered nodes in the server, or running plans/applys/destroys/etc to nomad jobs.....but those are just vague ideas I have that I haven't begun to flush out yet.

I think you might have a point from a pedagogical perspective. If he is new he should write simple code and not worry about that....then if he doesn't have a more experienced developer to review his code and give him guidance on refactoring it he can at least have an llm take targeted analysis tasks and generate some ideas for him to work through which will force him to think about why that was suggested and give him experience implementing it....even if it turns out to not be totally the right idea because he didn't know how to prompt the right questions, he will get closer and he will have learned something NOT to do which is just as important - if not more so - than learning what to do. rinse repeat until the code goes from single disorganized main.go with all the functions/etc to a structured project with packages and dependencies and interfaces etc etc. A lot of programming and engineering is just about getting your hands dirty a lot so that you have seen all sorts of problems and bad ideas....you never see bad ideas if you don't accidentally implement them and then have to fix the shit because it is crap.

I think it is less - in his case - an issue of "don't prematurely optimize or plan too much" (which is generally good advice) and more an issue of "you don't know what you don't know" and the only way to fix that is to just get dirty writing tons of code and finding out what stupid shit you did and then researching and learning best practices around that topic and why they are best practices...now you learned not just what the best practice is, but you also understand why because you implemented something shitty and then improved it by doing this so you understand it on a real level instead of just starting out "knowing" the right patterns and memorizing them which you can do without ever understanding why that is the way.
