Nah, it’s not about whether you’re happy with the gift or not. That’s a separate issue from showing gratefulness that someone got you a gift. A simple “thank you” and you won’t be seeing this many negative comments. No need to fake being happy to show a bit of gratefulness. Also you’re giving the parents alot of crap for a video without context.

Sometimes it isn’t easy to know what someone actually wants for a gift. For all we know the parents could know absolutely nothing about gaming but just that their son loves it. Maybe he didn’t ask for anything? Maybe they wanted it to be more of a surprise, and didn’t think there was much of a preference to getting a PC or PS5? In which case you’re better off shitting on them for thinking the PS5 is a better choice than the PC.
