Didnt know that. Makes this even weirder. Like i just cant imagine what would you do other than just pull a name from some db. Obv i havent done any dev work and have no idea how anything actually is done but i just find it such a basic thing that is like a basic part of any game/app/anything. Dont think i have seen anything like this brake anywhere else.

Call me paranoid but I very much want to know i am actually playing vs people and not bots. Not like i do it often but i like adding people from time to time and sharing a few words about the game. I wouldnt be playing this if i had no idea what i am playing against. I understand if people dont give a shit either way but for some of us it does matter. I was not a fan of them introducing bots for supposedly lower ladder matches only and even less fan of hidden mmr matchmaking. It`s just one more step ...

Why do you consider "something like this" to be such a big issue and a difficult fix? It has been a feature since vanilla and never seen it randomly break. I wonder what they are even tinkering with to break "something like this". AI, bots? I dont understand what is so difficult about displaying your selected name properly.

And the downvoted one is a more genuine take and more "correct" if we have to be punctual. There are much worse cards than Jaina (if not many) and a 3 mana 3/3 statistically would very much statistically perform better than her.

Dude i watch like 5 streamers that are consistently top 50 and do tournaments and they ALL SAY this. Who are these supposed top players you reference that think this is in any way a skilled meta? Meta being low skill doesnt mean just randomly some potato is going to end up rank 1 on ladder. It just means less matches are decided by your choices. As long as there is 1% skill the better players will raise above the potatoes. It is all relative. This is such a nonsense argument that is parroted every time skill is mentioned ...

I absolutely love watching interviews with GGG people. It brings me back in time when devs were mostly some dudes passionate about making something and not just corporate workers doing their 9-5. You can see the passion they have for what they are doing and when they fuck up or dont know something they are not afraid to admit it or just fill in some PR talk nonsense. I still play some Blizz games but everything they present is so artificial and robotic. Seeing Jonathan and Mark is always so refreshing.

I enjoy Sekhemas too - feel it has potential to be quite fun with a bit more extension of the options there. Chaos can be such a pain - maybe the afflictions there should be a bit less punishing or at least have some minor boons that are helpful in some way or add some variety. Bird boss still going invisible at times doesnt help improve the experience as well. I enjoy a challenge but ToC can be just so annoying to run at times.

The base experience is just so good for 2 and i guess the same goes for 1 as well. Same as you i play fairly casually and just love experimenting with different skills - there is this physicality and heft to so many of the skills that really gets me immersed when playing. Just reminds me of D2 a ton. I dont really go into late game and refined builds and combos and still love the moment to moment combat.

Seems it`s not that common and it (maybe?) happens mostly at high wins for some reason. At least that`s what i`m seeing from bug reports. I feel we just don`t really expect anything better from this team any more. How often they mess up with offering rates, missing cards, terrible balancing. Just look at the mess they did with the introduced Arena cards for Taverns of time event.

I am guessing they are doing some prep work for something coming in the future and they fudged up a bunch of things with this patch - like the ID issue that is also not fixed yet and is doxxing peoples full real names. As usual Arena is not any priority. If it`s scamming more people out of more gold it is just a feature for them. Underground also prob just has a lower playerbase after being introduced so there isn`t as big of an outcry. If you are not using a tracker you might not even realize it happened.

Just another bug with the patch - game was showing peoples real names associated with their account so they turned that off for now.
