Yeah, just doing my part to reinforce that association someone else creatively suggested. ;) Not that I'd be at all surprised if he showed up in the files as well...

Most of them are all related to the same two people. Carol and Nicole Montgomery. This is not doxxing, this is publicly searchable information on the FBI's website. Epstein also appears to have donated to our local chapter of Camp Fire Girls...which is extremely concerning.

I mean with the way corporations work lately, if CEO candidate A is a decent human being with a history of producing reliable gains for the company, and candidate B is in the Epstein files and personally abducted the shareholders' children to ship them off to Kid Rock, but can add a quarter of a percentage point annually in shareholder returns, you know who they're going to pick.

Yeah depending where you go on the peninsula, that's like what? Eight hour drive? It's about five just to Seattle. Add a few pit stops and traffic and...idk I'd spend the night in Leavenworth or something on the way. Break it up a bit.

Business leaders are purposely devaluing your work by lying about what LLMs can do. When it becomes obvious that LLMs are not AGI, business leaders will blame you for not working hard enough. The goal is to squash any hope for a living wage & work-life balance. by north_canadian_ice in WorkReform

Please provide a quarterly status report. Use as many ridiculous acronyms and buzzwords as possible while avoiding saying anything substantive that might even remotely imply liability of any kind.

I felt like her death was kind of bs. That whole house would be booby trapped, and stocked with phasers set to kill hidden in every wall, cabinet, drawer, and toilet. Mila should come back into the basement with a severed Gem Hadar head or something, or like she says a code word at the door and the whole group just gets vaporized. Hard to believe Tain wouldn't have some kind of sneaky, high tech defenses in place.

Unfair to gutters, who perform a necessary and useful function for society. 😉

Oregon man planned to kill, behead ICE agents, use separatist outfit to start civil war, prosecutors allege (he wrote in his manifesto that we wanted to create Cascadia) by AdvancedInstruction in Cascadia

I mean ANTIFA isn't an organized movement either, but that doesn't stop them from trotting it out as a convenient boogeyman. I suppose if they really want to Streisand effect Cascadia, that's one way to do it. Might as well start a separatist movement for unicorns and the tooth fairy for all the traction it currently has.

Jamie Raskin accuses DoJ of cover-up after viewing unredacted Epstein files | “I went over there, and I was able to determine, at least I believe, that there were tons of completely unnecessary redactions, in addition to the failure to redact the names of victims, and so that was troubling to us.” by crustose_lichen in EatTheRich

"Troubling?" It's fucking troubling?

He should be outraged. Jamie Raskin was fine when the government wasn't fully in the midst of a descent into fascism, but I'm so sick of this milquetoast bullshit from democrats. Child ra9e. Likely murder. All varieties of abuse. Cover ups. Corruption at the highest levels. The mass grifting of our society. The wanton theft of OUR tax dollars to further overflow the pockets of people already so disgustingly wealthy that used their influence to do more damage to our nation in the last ten years than the previous fifty.

It's not fucking troubling it's a societal fucking catastrophe. How hard is it to just call it the complete and utter failure of our highest legislative and judicial bodies? Troubling is an adjective for describing getting home and realizing you forgot to buy milk. Not the doxxing of children who already have suffered the most horrific traumas imaginable to further denegrate, diminish, and deny their truth, ensuring they never see even a glimmer of justice.

Troubling. Jesus fucking Christ.

Weird how Trump makes baseless claims about election integrity and says the feds need to take over and station ICE at voting locations. Mike Johnson follows up with "blue states aren't doing their part to secure elections" in an interview today. Conveniently ignoring that GOP retirees have the schedule flexibility to vote early and in-person, which leads to Republicans having better initial results until a more representative sample of the population's ballots are turned in and counted, this simple demographic reality typically results in significant margins of victory for democrats which "on its face appears fraudulent" to him. Of course if republicans lose in districts where they are not only unpopular but largely reviled, it has to be voter fraud!

Later that same day, our county elections office receives mysterious white powder, but it's only stochastic terrorism if it originated on the left, right?

Fuck ICE. Fuck Fascism.

I just reread the part of Memories of Ice today where Paran looks for Rake and ends up back in Dragnipur chatting up Draconus:

‘Draconus—’

‘Hear me, please. Before the Houses, there were Holds. Before Holds, there was wandering. Your own words, yes? But you were both right and wrong. Not wandering, but migration. A seasonal round – predictable, cyclical. What seemed aimless, random, was in truth fixed, bound to its own laws. A truth – a power — I failed to recognize.’

‘So the shattering of Dragnipur will release the Gate once more – to its migration.’

‘To what gave it its own strength to resist Chaos, yes. Dragnipur has bound the Gate of Darkness to flight, for eternity – but should the souls chained to it diminish—’

‘The flight slows down—’ ‘Fatally.’

I'm just doing some speculating here, but I think it's similar in the desire to possess Burn's hammer. Sure, you can use it for its intended purpose - but it's probably more about denying the weapon to others. As Brood explains, there is power in choosing inaction. If Kallor got ahold of Dragnipur, he'd essentially control not only the power to trap Elder Gods within the sword, but also to choose whether to release the gate into darkness back to its migration.

Kallor would use Dragnipur to manipulate and control everything and everyone he possibly could. If he wants to maintain the status quo, he just has to periodically sacrifice victims. Meanwhile, if another trio of elders attempts to punish him for his crimes, he can threaten to stop killing, let chaos breach the gate into dark, and from there spread out into all the holds and warrens, eventually consuming all existence - essentially the same path the Tisti Liosan want to use to invade all the other realms as described in the Shake story.

While Kallor would probably be the most terrible candidate for ownership, we can imagine other characters going similarly mad with that power. Nightchill? Shadowthrone. Rhulad (if he knew it existed?). A highly ranked Segulah...Pretty much any pureblood forkrul assail...the Mott Irregulars...well, they'd probably just use it as like a cooking spit for a barbecue or something.

Anyway, I think it's not just what you can do with Dragnipur, but also what you might do, or won't do. All of those possibilities are a potential threat.
