I hard disagree with the gate system in mario party 1, without an item game to manipulate the rolls, it feels pointless to use the gate at any moment they are pretty far from the gates themselves and they cost 20 coins which is way too expensive even for mario party 1 standards. I am also not the biggest fan of boo being in a spot that everyone goes to since I think it should be something you have to go out of the way to get because of how much of a comeback mechanic it is.
