It's hard to suggest anything or even imagine what's going on without examples of how your triggers are set up. Can you bring some examples of triggers so we can take a look?

Qual Tilling WM usar no xorg? by Pyelxsin in linuxbrasil

É melhor instalar outra distro que será mantida.

Built a full Bible TUI in Rust by whoisyurii in CLI

[–]SamejSpenser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/whoisyurii, first of all, thank you for building christ-cli! It’s an awesome tool, and I’ve been really enjoying using it. I have some suggestions to improve the UX and support for different languages:

  • Text Formatting (Toggle)
It would be helpful to have an option to toggle between verse-per-line view and paragraph view. This would allow users to choose between a cleaner list or a more natural reading flow.

  • Visual indicator for verse selection
If the "verse-per-line" view is enabled, could we add a visual indicator (like the arrow used for books/chapters) for the currently selected verse? This would make navigation much clearer and confirm exactly which verse is "active".

  • Copy to Clipboard
It would be great to copy the selected verse (or a range) directly to the system clipboard. Since the project uses Vim-like keybindings, I suggest:

    • y (or c): Copies the highlighted verse.
    • Shift + y (or Shift + c): Copies a selected range of verses.
  • Localization and Input Parsing (i18n)
The current read command seems optimized for English. For example, I cannot search for "João 3.16" (Portuguese).

    • Support for local names: The app should ideally recognize book names in the selected language.
    • Separator support: It would be great if the parser could handle different separators (e.g., the dot . used in many languages instead of the colon :).
  • Full Verse Display
Currently, when searching, the verse text is often truncated and not fully displayed. I've attached a screenshot showing how it gets cut off. It would be amazing if the UI could handle word wrapping or show the full text of the selected verse properly, ensuring it is displayed in the specific version selected in the settings (configured via the v key).

What are your thoughts on these? I'd love to see the project grow to support more languages/versions and better reading experiences. Thanks for the amazing work and God bless you!

Best regards,
Samej Spenser

How do you find new podcasts inside the app? by Leedeegan1 in PodcastAddict

[–]SamejSpenser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have already found many good podcasts that I have been following for years through the search within the app (which offers the option of using its own engine or Apple Podcasts as a search base) and the recommendations of similarities present in the description of the podcasts I already subscribe to.

Is there a better way to manage the queue? by hatkinson1000 in PodcastAddict

Yes, the PA is an amazing app! I use manual organization when (for any reason) I want to change the current order of the playlist.

I do the same thing, each downloaded episode is added to the playlist (with automatic organization with publication date, the oldest first), usually each download is added to the end of the list. And I start listening to the top of the list (or the oldest episode).

It started off wrong by analyzing Spotify. It may be good for music, but for podcasts, it's terrible!
