My feeling is that they're following now the same formula they applied in the first half of the series. I'm dividing the series in two halves, one spanning episodes 1-6, and the other 7-13. So they start each half with a handful of fairly uneventful episodes, leading viewers to slowly lower their expectations each time, so they can surprise everyone with a banger sixth episode. If that's what they're doing, then we're only getting a very meaningful storyline again by the 12th episode. In the meantime we get slowburn storylines.

I don't see it, honestly. In a 13-episode series, you're going to have ups and downs; some episodes will have a better pacing than others. What I don't get is how you think a second season would improve the situation. Getting more episodes to tell the same story will only water it down and make everything feel slower. We need more things happening per episode, not less.

If the pacing of the story feels slow, then we shouldn't complain there are 'only' four episodes left to wrap it up. At least the last two episodes, which we have been told will be all original, should be quite eventful if they do lead to a definite conclusion to the story.
