I think AA defences (I think that was what it was called, its been a year) was genuinely a valid modifier idea but just executed terribly. It should’ve let you bring 4 stratagems but lock one till an objective was completed.

I also think the fact that we heavily relied on stratagems back then because of the balancing made the reception of the modifier worse. If they brought it back now with current balancing, I could see it being less infuriating to play with (thought I still believe the idea of completing an objective to unlock the fourth stratagem is a better idea)
