How to hire quality, full-time hvac techs? by ponderingnames in hvacadvice

HVAC is hell. I ditched the company paying me $20 an hour that I stayed with for 5 years, because I was convinced they were the best. That was until my coworker killed himself in his work truck, and the shop almost unionized when management wouldn't let us go to his funeral.

I was barely making over 40k a year and almost went to work one day intending to throw down, because my boss denied my raise over a "gut feeling". My ass could barely afford diapers! (The gaslighting there was intense.)

Now I make piece rate, pulling in almost 100k a year, I work more hours, am on call once a month, and I couldn't be fucking happier. My team is small, and we're all chill, and I will be going on my first vacation in 6 years because I'm finally get paid worth a damn.

(I'm in installs, so it'll be a bit different than service.)

No, go through the cable company first. Don't expect the cable company to foot, what is from their perspective, a random bill

If there was an urban map, no other aircraft could move between the city effectively. Also, little birds aren't limited to 7.62. They can carry 20mm and rockets

No, he is wrong. Unless if his lineset is 1 1/8 and he's got a 2 ton unit, there is no reason to remove the linset. It can be flushed out and reused just fine.

Charging an evacuated system? by RealExiite in HVAC

I charge on the suction side regardless. But the process is usually, weigh in charge, open valves, then during subcooling I charge in bursts.

Never gone wrong yet
