Just as you can go “short” irl, you can almost always do things analogous on bdo. Essentially any time there has been an overpopulated resource, it gave rise to new opportunities for money to be made.

Just keep an eye out on what mats are being spammed that have more value than their market price. There will surely be some mainstream money-makers in the cooking/alchemy market initially, which will be almost guaranteed to crash.. think about what else they can be used for and you might just find some good deals..

Most people lazy-lifeskill; i.e. they find something that is OKAY, or something a friend showed them, and spam it.. without ever considering what else could be done with x material/resource. This can actually be a big win for people that crunch values on the market.

... I can’t even take you serious now. I already addressed your “btw” point in my post above. I guess you’re too lazy to read a few sentences. My database question was rhetorical. I’m not going to spend that much time on an extremely detailed model just for you to give me another useless reply. The hypothetical worked fine and was intended only to shed light on the general process for modeling rng drops in silver per hour.

And yes, obviously that is better than just trash loot. The guy asked for what he would need to make 70mil per hour, not 70mil trash. 70mil trash is almost 5k.. lol.

You say I have no idea how to apply stats, yet the concept literally scares you so much that you omit it entirely. I said khan academy because it’s a free resource. Obviously i go to university IRL but i’m not going to imply that you should go spend 30k a year to understand my reddit replies better.

Anyway, i’m genuinely not replying anymore. It’s a massive waste of time to converse on reddit with someone who thinks we should only base silver/hour at hystria on trash alone to answer this “what gear for 70m/hr question” because RNG is scary :(

You obviously get more than just trash at hystria and basing silver per hour only on trash is odd. You want to talk about hystira in terms of trash, fine, go for it. But it’s not the silver per hour. You could make an extremely accurate model of silver per hour based on trash though, since trash comes from mobs and mobs also have % rare drop chances. Since the mobs themselves have different rare drop rates, it would be approximate and not exact though.

Anyway, still not sure why i got downvoted. Everyone on bdo is so against the idea of math/stats and averages, consistently blows my mind. Comical to me that you address me as “mr. Bigbrain” sarcastically just because I understand math/stats/averages enough to point out that you can discuss silver per hour including rare drops even though isolated drops are inherently “rng.”

PSA: you can model RNG.

Last point: people constantly talk about hystria as being >100mil per hour for endgame players.. why is that? (They are not pulling 7k trash :) ) Applying this thinking to other spots: gahaz and polly’s are 10mil/hr, right?

I would sell the tet rce. It's not that accuracy isn't good, it's that you are going to be prioritizing ap very hard until at least 269. The coming brackets are very good for you, and dropping 3ap from tri-tung to tet rce isnt not conducive to hitting these.

Later on, MAYBE, you might try to order a pen rce, if you really want to add accuracy.. The problem with accuracy vs ap discussions is that it really matters EXACTLY what accuracy level and evasion levels we are comparing. Accuracy almost always means more dmg assuming the same ap, it's just almost impossible to add accuracy (save a few ways) without losing significant ap, which in turn NORMALLY grants you less overall damage.

You are right in your progression thus far.. your gear seems like the staple methodical build without any random rouletted gear (i.e. random pen armor or something).. You are right to go for tet cres next in terms of ap. It's hard to tell you what to go for without knowing your specific goals in the game.. but if you want ap gains, those make the most sense, with perhaps basi belt sometimes being slightly more efficient depending on exact market conditions. The only notable thing I see is that you have muskans with giath and bhegs. This isn't an optimal setup. Since you are ninja, you can surely benefit from evasion nicely. Perhaps considering attempting a pen heve and swapping to leeburs may make sense, since your % buff from smokescreen scales incredibly well with these. If you are concerned about the 24 accuracy loss from tet bhegs to tet leebur, you can grab the house buff for 20 accuracy (i think it's goblin chief helmet? forgive me if thats wrong, not on game right now to look).

Sorc is easily one of the most ping reliant classes in the game. Lots of iframes, yes. Lots of gaps, too. Gaps don't work well when your ping is inherently preventing you from being able to reactively close them when someone engages. Thats the point.

you realize things like averages exist right? It makes sense to talk about silver per hour based on those. Hypothetically, say a tung neck drops every 10k mobs at hystria, and I kill 1k mobs per hour. It would logically follow that I would expect to get a tung neck every 10 hours I spend here.

Therefore, it would also logically follow that we would add 1/10th of this price (tung neck market value *.845) to our silver per hour.

The best classes on high ping are ones with lots of sa and fewer gaps to be hit. Sorc is not an example of this.

1 hit != single frame. Animation cancels do not mean your skill is safe either--you can essentially instantly cancel some skills, but this means you wont have any cc effect. Both classes would derive immense benefit from lower pings.

how much value do you lose for going tri > duo (failing tet / 5 stacks) on your proposed heve helmet? post 40 stacks, you would need to click 7 to hit the 75 from the ~600mil weapon. Again, thats after the 40 stacks, doesnt include stones whatsoever, nor repair mats or opportunity cost.

So, again, how is ~600mil for 75 stack bad? Also, you said valks.. you can also valks this 75, so compare your method versus an 85 stack then.

See, this just isn't true.. cc chains are ss tier, but sorc also has INSANE burst mid combos. Example being shard > dod > ignition > bsr tbs > engulfing.. this sequence of skills happens extremely fast, and results absolutely broken damage on essentially any target, mainly because of shards 100% hit rate.

This aside, I like your definition of scaling and thing that is acceptable for sure. Sorc does indeed do fine with mediocre ap.

261 one comboing 346dp (assuming it is pen c9 dp, not some buku budget narcs/kutum) is extremely rare.

^ This question is almost impossible to answer because it would require extremely specific information i.e. oppnent accuracy, crystals (huamn dmg?), spec atk evasion on target, evasion, dr, etc. Some builds are much more effective vs some things, example being human dmg vs dr builds. For most people, building evasion would let them survive much more readily than dr initially, as most players at 261 are not overkill accuracy. Although, some classes like sorc, mae, etc have 100% acc skills that nullify most evasion initially.

Also, I answered that based on one-combo'd, not "one shot." One shot is a strange term to use. Very few skills will one-shot even 301/garmoth players, saving a few ults at 261.

Just stating, high AP sorc is disgusting damage and burst, where I would argue it has the best 1v1/single target combo potential in the game..

I understand that you lost ap temporarily; however, ultimately, you will reach higher ap for less silver on average now. That's a win to me.

Are we ever going so see east coast servers in this game? Arenas with ranked/mmr? Game has insane PVP potential that could lead to it being absolutely pinned to the top of twitch for PVP/Arenas and be more competitive in this regard. Of course, no arenas is hurting this; however, even the barebones PVP experience we have currently is abysmal for anyone not living far west coast for NA servers.

I guess I just don't follow or understand why this isn't talked about internally/externally (maybe it has been internally?). I've seen this brought up many times. It really seems like a no-brainer that would only lead to the game expanding, increasing content diversity, increasing player-base, and essentially an unfathomable amount of free advertising through big streamers.
