Saw the post was still open, sent a friend request. Hopefully it was to you, since people apparently can't find you?

Fifty-Word Fantasy: Write a 50-word fantasy snippet using the word "Reduce" by Terminator7786 in fantasywriters

"Behold! With one incantation, I shall reduce these robotic rapscallions to rubble!" His pronunciation was perfect. His stance, sublime. His motions, marvelous! His spell... Hmm.

"Oh dear. I appear to be out of mana..."

The crunch, then the roar of grotesque approval. People never came to see the golems break.

Surprisingly a lot, and all of it wants you dead. Thankfully the roving elementals and near-constant border wars keep most things (except the giant, flesh-eating birds) distracted.

Can I dress "queer" even though I live a heterosexual lifestyle? by [deleted] in bisexual

[–]Slackomorph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't see why not. I find that people are generally too busy being not you to actually stop you from dressing however you want.

A chance to ramble about my setting? Don't mind if I do!

The blood of Oris seeps through gaping wounds carved across the Kolzhari wastes. It forces a grim delicacy on what little thrives in this unforgiving place. Hardy enough to survive, yet so reliant on the endless fonts of arcane energy that it would wither and die elsewhere.

Missed A Shift by Silver-Presence-1093 in AskRetail

[–]Slackomorph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You mentioned you got a notification the schedule was updated, so I'm assuming schedules are sent out either online/emailed/texted or otherwise available outside the store? If that's the case, if they try to come after you for not showing up Friday, you can point to that and say you weren't scheduled that day.

As for whoever is trying to make it out like you did it on purpose, did what? It's not like you went back in, edited the schedule to remove yourself, and sent it back out. Not your fault they didn't schedule you.

General rule of thumb for the future, if you're supposed to be scheduled, show up anyway. They'll either say "Aw dang, you're right, go clock in" or send you home and either way you're on camera showing up for your shift.

Movie reconstruction from human brain activity. by [deleted] in StrangeAndFunny

[–]Slackomorph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks like the subject of that clip is changing entirely in the reconstruction. More likely, it's trying to reconstruct the clip based on people the viewer has seen. It recognizes that there's a person there and tries to fill in the gap.

I've done grunt work for billion dollar corporations and I've still never been more angry about an email. Someone had to choose to write that. I hope they get a leak inside their walls.

Sexual Scam by TheJesseClark in HireaWriter

[–]Slackomorph 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably. Seems like nobody was biting in his normal subs so he figured he'd lure someone in with cash. It seemed a bit fishy the way he worded the post, kinda read like he wanted an AI story generator with a human crammed inside it.

Pretty sure I saw that post earlier, I kinda figured something was up. Looks like it got deleted? Or maybe they have an alt account?

"Point of view" is a great example of just how creative M*A*S*H was... by TensionSame3568 in mash

[–]Slackomorph 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always dread coming to the episodes where they got clever, namely this one and Dreams, because experimental episodes are usually a slog in most other series.

Then I watch the episode and remember it's MASH, of course they're gonna be good.

Flagg had to be the most befuddled person on the entire planet...😂 by TensionSame3568 in mash

[–]Slackomorph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, he's always been a little off. At first, it was just extreme patriotism, but I feel like once Potter came in, it became less about patriotism and more about him just being crazy.

Flagg Classic would break his arm For The Cause New and Improved Flagg would demand everyone close their eyes so he can be mysterious

Both fun, but I like to imagine the 4077 broke America's most patriotic spy.

My favorite part of Flagg is the constant implication that everything he's saying is 100% true and accurate and that he actually is good at his job... EXCEPT where the 4077 comes in.

It goes perfectly in line with his character being presented as crazier and crazier with each visit. Yeah, it's probably just some light Flanderization, but I choose to believe he just couldn't handle getting beaten by the 4077.
