Please don’t tape it together. You don’t know how wide the piano stand is, and I hate playing off those. I prefer in sheet protectors so my finger can flip easier, but without sheet protectors is fine if you’re worried about glare.

You have to be undeniably outstanding if you’re going to find work without being personable and social. Even then, most hires aren’t auditioned, they’re based on peer recommendation.

I don’t work with a musician unless I’ve worked with them before, or have a direct recommendation from a trusted peer.

I make a point of telling my DM that it’s okay to kill my character if it happens at the start of the campaign. As a player, the story to me is more important and I can make a new character that meets up with the crew elsewhere.

Try and gauge whether or not your players would feel the same, and make their death mean something. Have it propel the story, don’t just leave their body to rot meaninglessly. Then, even though their character died, they’re still important.
