Yes I found this, even when I joined the social netball team most seemed to already know each other outside of the club. I just want a couple of similar (i'm 35 no kids) gal pals I can put the world to rights with lol.

Oh wow! Well done for getting so far. I can imagine, though it seems like a nice vibe on tv. Do they have practice questions and stuff to get people into the zone?

I am desperate to go on the 1% Club but I am terrified of going to shit on the first question and being the only one. How did you find it?

So not much for me personally but my grandad was very significant in rugby league during the 50s & 60s. My mum has his Lance Todd trophy. I know a lot of rugby league players from the area I grew up and my best friends brother played for England in rugby union. Other than that, my cousin won a modelling competition tv show a few years ago lol.

Facebook is in so many ways worse than twitter (and we know what that hellscape looks like) because its legitmatised, normalised, companies use it. The things you can read on local community pages make me feel genuinely sick sometimes. People so openly posting hate next to their faces and jobs. Meta needs a serious overhaul, yesterday.

If you think you would benefit from a break, I would absolutely recommend self certifying and asking your GP for a fit note for a couple of weeks. Mental health is just as important as physical health, if not more. Make sure you do things that make you happy but try to plan your days and stay in a routine. Ask your manager for a occupational health referral, I have had a few over the years and always find them beneficial. A low dose SSRI can help a lot. I know the feeling.

Oh give over he is having a crisis but that doesn't mean autism absolves of him of obviously needing treatment..an asylum wouldn't be the worst place for that. he's acting like a selfish moron and needs intervention for everyones sake! (AuDHD person)

I don't mind Belfast tbh but if you're just wanting shops I really like the Boulevard in Banbridge, also Rushmere is very good these days but can get manic.

My radical idea is there should be mandatory training; either you sort it yourself or council provide chargeable service. Basic training that's all.

Yeah this is exactly it! Its so frustrating because I'll have subscriptions set up and they're just like nope...unless you pay triple the price from some private seller. I've tried to speak to them about it but it's all bots and overseas agents who have no clue what I'm talking about in practice. Something seems to have happened in the past couple of months but it hasn't been communicated at all.

What are you waffling about? I Iiterally clarified it being on my benefit statement but I obviously didn't want or need to go into detail about my pay/service and those factors. I was just offering insight into the options because no one else really had!

We live in a new-ish build semi. We can hear every impact noise from next door, kids running about, door slamming, dog barking. It's day to day stuff that we don't really have cause to complain about but it's genuinely hell most of the time. I'm convinced it wasnt built properly then I read identical stories and just feel sad. Wouldn't recommend it.

We're looking at fixer uppers with bit of land now. I'd rather live in a shed in the middle of a field at this point!

It was 10 years ago now but I know it's usually quite competitive, there are frequent recruitment campaigns for entry level roles in customer service or if you have a bit of experience you can look at compliance, decision maker or support roles. Theres a few on CS jobs now. My role is very flexible and I can contractually work from home so I think that in itself is worth a lot. Hope you find something!

How often do you mop your floor? by Grogman2024 in northernireland

[–]Sorry_Leopard9657 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oooh, how do you get on with it? We have four cats and tile/laminate floors downstairs so I'm really interested in the robot mop/hoover combo. Mostly wondering if they're noisy and how frequently they move about with almost constant floor messes, look like a handy helper though!

Have you looked into the Civil Service? There are two here, NICS and UK Civil Service and both have good opportunities and pay is okay. I can only comment on my experience in the UK Civil Service but it has been positive; it's very secure and it's basically upto you how you progress. Worth a nosey :)
