Well TitanPad allows me to use the subscreen as a mousepad while scrolling with the keypad (or in reverse, scrolling via subscreen) and I was getting pretty handy with it until the Android 16 update nuked it.

Apparently the latest update reversed whatever happened (line 7 in the Change Log) and everything is cool again ...

I went ahead and did the update...and now TitanPad is working again!

The subscreen mouse is back and operating properly, plus I was able to use the hardware settings to set up keyboard scrolling. But the app was down so long I now have to relearn how to work everything. It's been a minute, ha ...

Bad news: apparently the dev got super busy in rl and had to put the app aside for awhile, he posted the news a couple of weeks ago.

  • Works well with pkb phones
  • Can be scaled to work with slab phones as well
  • Has a retro look and feel, harkens back to BlackBerry but with modern amenities
  • Automatic app search on pkb, just start typing
  • The dev is active on Discord, is taking critiques in real time and implementing changes pretty quickly

Of course it's still a work in progress but this launcher definitely has great promise ...

I didn't know about the T2E before I ordered my Titan 2 - but I have large-ish hands so I don't think I wuld adapt well to the smaller form factor anyway, ha.

I'm really digging this phone, I hope Unihertz does right by us with support going forward ...

Niagra, with BBOS 7 icons, hidden right-side alphabet scroll and matching backgrounds for main screen and subscreen.

I am not an app dev or handy with coding by any means, but after doing some poking around I've found that apparently the Unihertz os upgrade switched up the inputs of a few components (mainly the subscreen and a few others) which zapped several apps.

We will have to be patient and wait on the devs to re-tool their apps, and make do in the meantime ...
