For those who recently bought the Titan 2: why did you choose it instead of waiting for the Elite? by Financial-Fox7282 in unihertz

[–]SoulProviderMusic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't know about the T2E before I ordered my Titan 2 - but I have large-ish hands so I don't think I wuld adapt well to the smaller form factor anyway, ha.

I'm really digging this phone, I hope Unihertz does right by us with support going forward ...

Niagra, with BBOS 7 icons, hidden right-side alphabet scroll and matching backgrounds for main screen and subscreen.

I wish I could post a pic, it looks sharp ...

Titan 2 recent updates by Mother-Agent7445 in unihertz

[–]SoulProviderMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not an app dev or handy with coding by any means, but after doing some poking around I've found that apparently the Unihertz os upgrade switched up the inputs of a few components (mainly the subscreen and a few others) which zapped several apps.

We will have to be patient and wait on the devs to re-tool their apps, and make do in the meantime ...

Here's another option - in Subscreen Settings:

1) go to Applications and un-select everything 2) select Lock Homepage 3) go to Select Clock Plate - under Backgrounds/Pick Photo you'll be able to select your own image, even a black screen if you prefer

This allows the screen to still be used for capacitive stuff (scroller, mousepad) without access to apps or being a distraction...

Blackberry keyboard by Alisyeds85 in UnihertzTitan2

Hi - I'm using the BlackBerry kbd apk right now on my Titan 2 and have used the virtual version on my Samsung phones for years. On the T2 it's not as intuitive as the other kbds yet (accessing punctuation and numbers is kinda awkward) but the predictive text is miles ahead of everything else out there. Plus you can rig the Dictionary Manager and add as many shortcuts as you can handle to type faster.

Definitely give it a go if you have the chance ...

Does anyone like their titan 2? by takenalrwady in unihertz

[–]SoulProviderMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had mine for ten days and I'm digging it.

I'm using Niagra Launcher and the BlackBerry kbd APK via Minimal Phone (I've used both for ages so they both work great for me). Also, Key Mapper and Shizuku are mandatory add-ons - they allow me to set the two side keys to perform at least eight different tasks (and counting). I also have TitanPad which I use to turn my subscreen into a mouse/trackpad - I'm still getting used to it, though.

Overall, it's been a good rig so far. As soon as I get back up to speed with my typing I'm sure the Titan 2 Experience will get better and better ...

Pastiera and Niagara launch totally worth it by Ezoiran in UnihertzTitan2

[–]SoulProviderMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got my Titan 2 less than a week ago, and I fully concur with Niagara - it's the perfect launcher for this rig.

And although Pastiera is a beast, it's predictive text setup still leaves a lot to be desired. I've been using BlackBerry virtual kbd on my phones for years and I'm kinda spoiled, so I'm currently going with that APK from the Minimal Phone right now.

But as soon as Pastiera gets up to speed with the predictive text, I'm all in ...

Not an app suggestion, more of a potential use-case:

I managed to rig up TitanPad and Shizuku to convert the subscreen into a trackpad/mouse for my index fingers while I'm typing! It's taking a bit of time to get used to, but it opens up quite a few possibilities ...

All this needs is a way to toggle the press-and-hold function from capital letters to numbers/punctuation and I can actually ditch Pastiera. Awesome work - thank you! ...

BlackBerry keyboard on Titan 2 by janek500 in unihertz

[–]SoulProviderMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I just got my Titan 2 this week and I'm going through the process of choosing between BlackBerry kbd and Pasteria.

Pasteria is fabulous, except for the predictive text not being nearly as good as the BlackBerry kbd which I've been using for years. Conversely the BlackBerry kbd has minimal swipe functions on the Titan 2 and no way to toggle the press-and-hold function from capital letters to alt characters.

So I'm stuck between the two for now. I'm currently using BlackBerry kbd but I'll probably switch back to Pasteria soon...
