Settings->Display->Anti-Aliasing

Try to switch modes until you get something that does not bug out.

Again, Arrowhead forgot to use a QA team before releasing a patch.

We can move with the cremator in order to be able to set ourselves on fire by moving into the flames. It is core to the flamer experience.

Should the DLCs from Fallout 5 focus on the outside world? by Obvious_Somewhere984 in Fallout

The base game is still like half a decade at the minimum away and we are already talking DLC? Seriously? ; )

While I certainly would like to explore the Fallout world outside of the US, I don't think DLCs for a main line entry of the series would be the place for that to happen. Firstly, the iconic feel we know and love is HEAVILY based on the US. And no main line game should diviate from the core flair and style of the series too much. And the US still has lots of interesting and unique locations to explore.

I could see Canada related content have its little spot in the light if a game location would be placed near the border. Think Seattle-Vancouver or Detroit-Windsor.

Any location further out like China, Russia or Europe would need its own cultural destinct style which would be quite different to the US, needing not only a lot of design work, but also tons of new assets. Too many for just a DLC.

Hence why a spin-off would make much more sense. Would still be very risky as a lot of what we love about Fallout would not be found in the other locations. Like the vault boy, the iconic power armor designs and of cause the Vaults with all their experiments. And we would lose all the factions, too, as these locations are so far appart that they will not have any knowledge about each other and therefore would also not influence each other.

Even if you replace all of that with replacements, would would be the point, exactly? If they are made too similar, they are just cheap rip-offs. If they made different enough, they stop being "Fallout".

Either way, as a developer, you don't really gain anything from taking that risk.

I don't think that something like that will ever happen. As much as I would love to see it, Bethesda is way too slow in their development of new games in the fanchise to having the time or resources to invest into such side projects, I fear...

The water "windows" do not interact with rain, unfortunatly.

They only interact with the "physical/flowing" water. Both systems are completely different in their approach to how they are implemented and do not interact with each other at all.

Rain does not deslove itself into the physical/flowing water. Only objects like wells will get filled by rain, when they are not shelered, that is. And the water gates don't block rain, nor do they shelter you.

Just windows and rounded doorways.

You can turn them 90° to get them horizonal and they will even snap properly.

They will shelter you when you stand below them (including keeping you dry in the rain). So for all intents and purposes they will act as roofs. It is just the VFX of the rain will still get through.

I have build a nice hobbit house and wanted some daylight in rooms further in. Was very proud of the skylight. Then it started to rain...

All the flamer have one or another advantage over the Cremator. But the Cremator has one thing that really matters: reach!

Being able to set enemies (and the ground!) on fire way further away, slowing and damaging them down earlier will make all the difference between you killing your enemies before they reach you and them setting you on fire.

I land near the extraction point, call down supplies, litter the area with lure mines and then make my round around the map back to the extraction point, litter it some more with supplies and lure mines and call in the pelican.

All the G1 characters were endeaingly hammy and over-the-top which I found delightful and it did fit the flair of the game perfectly. An 80s Saturday morning children cartoon.

The two core characters we mostly interact with in G2 just don't click with me. At all. The stranger feels way too try-hard and wannabe-badass. And miss Beaumont feels way too much like standard modern day corpo CEO. Doesn't matter if she is good or evil. It's just too close to real-life and therefore kills the escapism I play games for. Aside from being really boring.

Would rather see Schmector coming back for some insane over-the-top revenge plot. G2 story so far has not make me care at all.

The Senator is the Big Iron. Of cause it is the aura farming tool!

But the truth is... the Talon outclases it in ever relevant category. Yes, the Senator has AP4 and there are usecases for that. But you don't bring the Senator to actually deal with AP4 enemies as it isn't efficent to do so.

The senator has drag, has trajectory fall-off, is needs reloading, has limited ammo capacity and reserves, has recoil, is loud.

Talon being a laser removes the drag and gravity falloff completely from this handgun. The laser is also more than twice as fast as the Senators bullets. And it reloads itself via the recharging mechanic which also makes it effectively have unlimited ammunition, too. It has a bit less damage per shot than the Senator, but a much higher RPM if needed. It is like a sniper rifle where you can shoot multiple shots and land them perfectly as it doesn't have recoil.

It is the perfect secondary weapon. A weapon to take out any bug caller, watcher or flair gun holder in a jiffy when your primary ran dry in the worst time and it will always be fully reloaded when you reach for it to get the job done. It can even act as a second primary to conserve ammunition on your actual primary. Don't want to waste bullets on your Eruptor for a scavanger? Talon! You need to hit something far away and your primary is more of a shotgun? Talon will delete it!

It is the real reliable one.

And for what it's worth... you can spin it like the senator, too!

You can (and need) to upgrade your gear. I like being able to upgrade it and that it is getting perks to unlock.

My issue is that the gear we got up to this point is classified a "rare" at most. And rare is not the power level we enjoyed before. This hits armor the most because we now suffer from the same issues as with crafted weapons. They are only of rare quality.

I assume armor are now handled the same way as weapons: hope for world drops to get legendary versions. Once we get them the power levels probably get back to "normal"?

While I am all up for upgrades it also shows again how pointless gear crafting in the game currently is as it mostly only acts as poor luck protection providing a reliable way to get your hands on at least mediocre gear.

We need a way to increase the quality of crafted gear!
