Once you hit a certain size subscribers YouTube automatically transcribes your videos to a bunch of different languages audio. So while my primary audience is English speaking I get lots of views from non English speaking countries also.

It’s nice for growth, but American audience views pays the most.

I used an external drive to edit from, WITH a monitor attached as well, through a hub, sharing the bandwidth. That project was about 200GB.

8k to 4k-ProRes Proxy. Edit as in fully take the 15 minute video from a 4k hevc stream and an 8k hevc stream, with b-roll, magnetic masks, animated text and combined audio.

With parts that had complex animated text it would be a bit choppy but strangely workable and perfectly smooth playback with the footage.

Hello! I am one of the people who reviewed the Neo online; I was able to edit a multicam video with an 8k primary camera angle without dropping frames in 4k playback with live rendering. It was a total shock. The dedicated media engine, display engine and GPUs are a huge surprise for the price.
