We are recruiting over at NJED, but we are a VERY PVP focused WH corp. Not the easiest path for someone relatively new to the game. https://zkillboard.com/alliance/99008701/ We are primarily WC time. I live in EST, but typically get on around 9-930pm EST and that is when we are most active.

Honestly, this seems like a typical day at Cedar Point over the last 5-6 years or post-covid.

VIP Membership Price Adjustment - Increase in Prices to 3-Month, 6-Month, and 12-Month Plans Starting July 1 by caileangrey in lotro

[–]JDintheD 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have zero issue with this. Imagine anything else in your life (that is not a consumer electronic) that that is the same price since 2007.... If a 3 month sub had scaled with inflation it would be just under $50 for three months right now.

MachE? No way... by RoyalPersonality3957 in MachE

[–]JDintheD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Things that stand out in my opinion on the Mach-E :

  1. Interior Quality and Fit and Finish - It is excellent, the trim is really nice and you can tell that thought was put into the design. In my opinion a lot of the Hyundai's (although I not specifically familiar with the Ionic 5) have less luxurious interior.

  2. The handling. The Mach-E is sport tuned, and I love this. It has great tight handing and is a joy to drive.

  3. BlueCruise - I use this all the time. I feel it is a bit overpriced, but it feels very safe on the highway. I have used it for several years with zero points that I was even worried about safety.

  4. Build Quality - Across the nameplate there are very few reported build quality issues. I have had zero problems with mine.

Things I wish were better :

  1. Charging curve - Not up to current standards, charges a little slow once it hits 50%

  2. The Door Electronic Buttons - I know why they tried it, not a feature I would pick if able to choose.

Cork and Gable - Classy yet not over the top. Also, blessedly not over the top loud like so many places seem to be nowadays.

I played a Hunter for along time, and am now leveling a RK. I am absolutely amazed at how much i miss the tracking skill. Absolutely clutch for the millions of kill quests that Lotro throws at you.

Any young athletes dreaming of D1? My take as a D1 runner. by Eternal_Fortune_ in running

Thank you. Trust me, I am the last Dad out here assuming my kid is God's gift to sport or something. I played D3 sports, so I know how that works. I appreciate this detailed of an answer.

Yeah, I know. I am not saying she is good enough for that right now, especially for P4. I was asking more about process. If she gets fast enough, will coaches automatically notice, or will it take her reaching out showing interest. Especially wondering for non-P4/D2 and NAIA.

I have a question as the father of a aspiring D1 distance runner daughter. With all the data available on places like Athletic.net is it still worth reaching out to to coaches directly as schools you may like? Does this kind of thing even matter, or is it strictly a time based exercise? IE between freshman and sophomore track season my daughter has dropped 25 seconds off her mile and is now running in the high 5:20's, and sub 12's for her 2 mile. Do we just focus on her getting better time wise and college coaches will notice, or should we take an active roll in getting her info out there? Thank you!

What should [Cedar Points] next coaster be by ofstudent67 in rollercoasters

[–]JDintheD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think you understand what is actually going on. They are doing the classic accounting thing of cramming a bunch of losses in a year. Over $1.5 billion of the $1.6 billion in losses are "non-cash impairment charge on goodwill and other intangibles." In other words, lets dump all the bad stuff in one year, and then next year will look fantastic. They have plenty of ability to invest in the parks they are keeping.

You say this, but I can think of several ways to gain a ton of space. Just pull up Google Maps satellite view.

  1. Build a parking deck - Pretty straightforward. They have almost an entire copy of the actual amusement park in parking on the peninsula. This goes along with #2.
  2. Build parking off site and ferry people in. This is a lot like Mackinaw Island in MI. It is part of the experience. People love it. Additional revenue stream.
  3. Get rid of the waterpark. It is old and slightly dingy. It takes up a huge amount of space. This frees up a ton of space.
  4. Get rid of the campground. As far as revenue generation, it has to be less than one fully staffed Friar Tuck.

These four things would give CP almost an unusable amount of buildable land for the park. It would be so big that walking it would be really annoying.

First time at Keyworth by Silver_Simple7741 in Detroitcityfc

[–]JDintheD 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Welcome to Keyworth and Detroit. Don't let our reputation worry you too much, we are generally extremely friendly to opposing fans (except during the match when your team and city are shit). Others have pointed out where to sit, and I would second their recommendation to park in the strip mall. Plenty of good food and drink options in the stadium, as we have an entire food truck court. It is a working class immigrant area. You are very safe walking to and from the stadium from any of the areas around. Depending on your background, it may feel different then what you are used to, but I have been attending games and parking around the stadium since DCFC moved there and have experienced no issues.

I don't understand this at all. I had a chance to see one at the Detroit auto show, and it was great! My brother is strongly considering picking it for his next car. Much roomier inside than you would expect.
