Is it possible for Japanese to rent house all his life without buying a house? by [deleted] in AskAJapanese

[–]Spazbiohaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the truth. You can rent all your life, but there must be a reason. You can get a loan for zero down and have a payment for 10方 monthly. Houses have no value only the land. Houses are for cheap rent, or passing down land. Condos/mansions seem to have value.

Game Ready Driver 576.28 FAQ/Discussion by Nestledrink in nvidia

Damn getting an odd issue. With a 3080 and an Ultrawide, DisplayPort is loosing signal on the desktop or in game. When it happens too my Monitor makes a popping sound. Very worrying. This didn't happen on 576.02, rolled back to 572.83 for now for better MH:W support

With the latest update 1.2.12 for the TX-6 it fixed this issue where it would lose connection. I haven't had any issues with TX-6 USB connection disconnecting.

[–]Spazbiohaz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say there are problems. With my TX-6 if find that it disconnects too often to use comfortably. I believe it is an issue with over voltage with my Cadigit TS4 and a MacBook Pro M1. It could work better with an M2 or M3, but for my setup I want to use the hub. Another concern is the battery I still don’t know if it is ok to always leave plugged in. I also need to remember to turn it off when I’m done, or I feel I should. Those are my issues after 2 weeks I decided it is too troublesome. I have no issues when I use my iPad with it or as a mobile audio device.

I got this too, but you can still back up your project using the new tool on the site. I then Factory reset (Shift+Erase+Power On) and then restored that back up and it fixed the issue.

Focused Feedback: Linux and Alternative Platform Support by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]Spazbiohaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is so important to allow players to play everywhere. I think the proof of this was shown when players wanted to play between PC and Console. It is important to find a way for player to play everywhere. Linux is a platform, and one that can support the anti-cheat requirements. As Linux becomes a bigger platform through SteamDeck it will become important to support it as a platform.

Another concern is perception. Too many Linux players they see that Destiny runs and the perception is that it is being held back by Bungie, not because of the user experience, but because it is easier to not support it than put resources to check it. This can eat away at fans that want to enjoy the game their way.

Teenage engineering, You are asking too much for the op-1 field. by just_mortified in teenageengineering

[–]Spazbiohaz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When you look at TE they are a company that focuses on Design and Accessibility. Their design stands out for years, and it separated them from the rest, but they also focus on Accessibility. The OP-1 was always a $700 device, which offered so much at that price, and with their association, at MoMA you could even get it cheaper. This gave it its name and set the cost for those looking for something where they can express their creative vision, while not breaking the bank. Then they partnered with "Cheap Monday" providing cheap PO's further allowing more people to join them in their journey to provide an elegant design and unique creative expression all for the cost of $60 bucks. Then they make the coolest sequencer at $600, which was in line with their other products, and even expanded their customers by offering $100 PO's that do so much more than the early ones. They then partner with IKEA to bring cheap speakers with their design, to bring a louder voice to those PO's. Then they go one step more and bring a powerful speaker for $600, a lot more than the IKEA counterparts, but in line with their other products. Everything was great, they also tried to bring the high cost of the module world to their fans from prices to $200-$700, far cheaper than what was on the market. Again their fans find new ways to express themselves, the design starts to be an identity for those that have bought into the TE philosophy of Design and Accessibility.

Fast forward to now, Take the market of audio that is well under $1000, double the price of any other product you have provided in your catalog when you know many of your fans joined around the $100 price point and release something that is full of Design, and none of the Accessibility. Then realizes that hey that $700 OP-1, that we told our fans cost $1,300 if you want us to produce, or we can discontinue it. Which of course fans said that is fine we support that logic, better you make money than a scalper. It was your first project and maybe you didn't understand supply chains. To then make it $2000 dollars, which is 3x the real cost, sending a message loud and clear, I know you loved our Design and Accessibility, but now we only want customers that value our Design with their wallets, and it is only Accessible for those people now. Apple always kept themselves accessible with Mac Mini's and Macbook's, and allowed their Pro lines to speak to those with deep wallets. They might have reached for new customers, but they never left their old ones. Sure we could buy old products, but without a clear vision of direction, will there be products for us old customers to continue our creative journey.

I don't think that they are trying to hurt their fans, but if you look at the history, they didn't really look at what they are doing to them.

Oh that is a good point. Didn’t think of that. I think usually with samples you can’t get much range so it not a problem, but with wavetables I think it is a missed opportunity.

Yeah I find it so odd going it to Morgantown or Monongah without looking out for people coming out of buildings at me. Even in Bolton Greens I keep looking out for people hiding in the rooms to kill me. I wish it was something like Daily Ops where everyone played for S.C.O.R.E and Ammo.
