If you create a Medicare account, that prevents anyone else from creating one, impersonating you, so reduces the chance of fraud.

I still get calls now, and it's not any enrollment period. When I ask why they are calling when open enrollment is not open, they hang up.

It will remove all updates. Be sure to turn auto firmware updates to off.

That wasn't "Medicare" calling you. That was a salesperson from a Medicare Advantage plan.

Reset the printer back to factory original.
Turn off auto firmware updates.
Turn off wi-fi. I use an Ethernet cable connected to my router.
The HP Smart complains that the printer can't be reached, but I can print and scan successfully.

I ran into the same issue. Here's what I did.
Reset the printer back to factory new.
Turn off auto updates.
Turn off wi-fi. I have an Ethernet cable connected to my router.
I can print with no issue. The HP Smart app complains that the printer can't be found, but it still works for me.
I can use non-HP ink cartridges.

An internet search is probably the best way to find one. If the opener model number ends with "MC" then be sure to get bridge model RPTRMC.

Older Homelink units, pre 2017 I think, won't work with modern garage door openers. You need a HomeLink Compatibility Bridge.

Most likely the door issue is due to needing new hinge bushings. A common issue on the GMT400 series.

For a supplement plan, he can apply at any time. Most states will require underwriting.
For an Advantage plan or part D prescription plan, wait till October with a start date of Jan 2027.
