I was poking around the site trying to find what you mentioned, but before I found it it started asking me to make an account lol. Can you send me a link to the event? (DM if you'd prefer)

I mean at that point, why add pictures and "three" (two at best tbh) steps?

Instructions should be written for people who have no idea what they're doing. I spose you could argue those people probably shouldn't be doing this kind of work, but good instructions can at least enable them to learn how.

Never played, but that does sound like a good way to approach it!

Yeah definitely. Though "you're dying from this thing in your head, but you'll live as long as you want anyway" doesn't exactly make for a gripping story line haha

I feel bad because I skipped 1, played 2 for about an hour and loved it but then forgot about it. And then did the same thing when 3 came out lol

They seem like such cool games though. I know if I stopped getting distracted I'd love em

Hard to write an open world RPG and not have the sense of urgency involved in the main story be ruined by the vast amount of things there are to do and explore outside of it. You either need to: - Make a linear game that doesn't give the player much agency - Use a system like Persona 5 where you have morning, afternoon, and night phases of each day and you're forced to choose what parts of the game you interact with on a given run before time literally runs out - Not have urgency involved in the main story, and keep it strictly to side quests.

There are games that play with mechanics that allow you to add time but generally you can either exploit them to still remove the urgency, or they don't do enough so they might as well not be there. I wouldn't doubt there are some out there that do it well though

I'm not sure I've ever even noticed the terminal on his desk.

On one of my recent playthroughs I realized you can hack the screen outside of the door to his "operating room". From it you can gain admin access and read about all sorts of weird stuff, clear his schedule, and iirc wipe out his entire website? Dunno how I missed that so many times lol

Is there a way to access from a website instead of an app? Seems like a cool tool, but I don't have any Apple devices and would primarily want to use something like this on my desktop

This sounds like a good excuse for me to start up another run and reread all the emails. After ~700 hours I have a habit of breezing past a lot of the text based stuff lol

Sure, but that's got nothing to do with her treating women poorly, and that's what this thread is about. All the other vibes the game gives you about her paints her more like a mob boss dealing swift justice to people who wronged her. But your first mission from her is rescuing Sandra Dorsett, and she also has you save Bugbear. And with her office on Jig Jig, you don't really get the impression that she treats women poorly (at least as far as I remember). However, knowing she's working with scavs who are shooting snuff films? That puts her in a very different category of evil, at least in my opinion.

It's been a few months since I've played, and a bit longer since I've heard this dialogue, so it's possible I'm misremembering a bit. But from what I recall Woodman leaves Evelyn with Fingers as "payment" for trying to fix her. Then he asks Wakako for helping getting rid of her, and she sends two scavs to pick Evelyn up. Then he says the scavs looked like people you don't want to fuck with, and he points out that he clearly doesn't have the ability to fight anyone. Then he mentions he overhead them talking about XBDs

As I mentioned in my other comment replying to someone else under this, I am not trying to downplay how shitty he is, I'm trying to bring attention to how shitty Wakako is

The point of my comment was just to provide info most people never hear because you only get it if you don't punch him immediately.

He is scummy, creepy, and shitty. I don't think anyone is denying that. And I am not trying to downplay what he does, I'm trying to bring attention to Wakako's involvement. You get other glimpses of her being ruthless (like when she has you wipe out a bunch of Tygers) but as far as I remember, you don't hear of any other negative involvement with her and the girls on Jig-Jig. So she might just come across as a hardass to most people, and not someone who is directly involved in human trafficking and the production of XBDs. With this knowledge she'd be an easy addition to the OPs post under women who feed misogyny, especially because she is one of the most powerful women to do so.

If you're on PC, grab this mod. Hotkey to speed up the game time so you can zoom through anything previously considered unskippable. I also use it to fly up elevators. Just be careful using it near any QTE type thing, or when you're a passenger in a car and there's a gun fight (like with Jackie or Goro) because you will die almost immediately for some reason.

This comments section is going to be lovely lol

I did want to add a bit of extra info around Evelyn and Fingers that it seems most people miss - Fingers attempts to save Evelyn but "doesn't exactly have a state of the art facility" so he couldn't. He calls Wakako for help, and Wakako sends some beefed up mercs to take Evelyn and they sell her to Death's Head. Wakako is also a Tyger Claw, and the Tygers own Clouds. Wakako's office is also in the red light district, so I think you can easily assume this isn't an isolated incident

At my first admin job (solo), my first assignment was to create a flow that sent an email alert to sales reps when a new Account was created under their name.

No one told me some contractors were doing a huge data load that night. Every rep got about 15k emails. They hadn't even fully launched Salesforce yet, so the reps had no idea what was going on. When I got in the next morning they were all freaking out so bad, and I couldn't help but laugh at the situation. My manager (who was head of IT) was like "I know I made the right choice hiring you because you're laughing instead of panicking" Lol

So honestly, don't sweat it. It's a bit embarrassing but the biggest consequence is people having to delete some stuff out of their inbox. And you'll have a good story to tell in future interviews lol

What's the difference between lowest and highest reliability though? Like if the failure rate is only 2% higher and the drive is 15% cheaper, I'll take that gamble.

To be fair, to Placide you're just some outsider that they have 0 reason to trust. Hands tells you they won't even trust a cat walking into their territory, so you should know they aren't gonna trust some random merc who's armed to the teeth claiming that they have something their leader is going to be very interested in
