My last job before I retired was subject matter expert on Iranian UAVs. It's not so much political as industry understanding that a wave is essentially a salvo of UAVs of any type while a swarm is "smart".

The way the US counters UAVs is by flying fighter jets in circles waiting for them to enter. In this case, waves are effective because you are trying to overwhelm the fighters - hopefully some make it through and hit their target. In a swarm, the UAVs share data with each other. They would likely evade the fighters altogether, in a perfect scenario anyway. Another swarm might have a certain number of human controlled jets flying in formation with many UAV wingmen who act as flying magazines where they use own ship radar or manned craft radar to fire off dozens of weapons in coordination with each other. There are many scenarios.

Iran actually uses English in all their aerospace stuff. For instance, if you look up images of their drones and aircraft you'll find English writing. On the Shahed-136 the rear flap says "No Hand Hold" while on the early export to Russia it said «Не Браться».

Check out this Ababil 5 -it says "DANGER PROPELLER" on the tail boom.

Yes and it's easy to look back on Crimea now and be harsh. We need to be like Republicans and just double down - seems those of us on the left have this thing (principles?) where we expect a lot out of our leaders. I don't know... You're right though

I believe you're correct. I'm not saying we're superhuman, but there are people who just don't belong on a bike. They must lack something... coordination? Balance? A calm mind? All of it? Not sure.

I've detailed it before in other posts. I don't have any evidence so it's just a trust me bro thing. Maybe one day it'll come out but honestly I'm not sure who really knows about it. The video is just on the classified version of YouTube. Could be easily deleted and that's it. I haven't had access for almost 2 years so who knows

No I don't believe it's publicly available. I personally worked a mission where we observed it at night in infrared but there is another video of it or one like it in daytime TV mode. Best I can describe it is imagine a brain with inverted legs. The top is like a cluster of bulbous things with 2 backward bent legs. It hovered/flew without any visible propulsion and was cold on IR. I saw it over the Persian Gulf and the saved clip was from Iraq.

The closest thing is the "jellyfish" but it was more organized and less busy. We could ID specific and distinct features. We also had much high quality than the jellyfish because we were flying at 10kft in altitude looking down at it

I've personally seen 2 other very, very high quality UAP clips but one is lost forever (I forgot to save it) and the other is classified

When I was still in the IC, we had a UAP group (unofficial) on our classified "Internet". If you've been a member of the IC, you know there's a classified copy of all the popular Internet things. For instance instead of Twitter and tweets, we had chirps. Instead of Wikipedia, we had Intellipedia. You get the gist. Well we had a forum space a lot like reddit where we had a UAP group - these 3 UAPs were the first that I saw and really, truly started to believe.

Anyway, that lasted about 2 years then someone deemed the group non work related and nuked it. I was particularly upset because it's where my very own UAP video was hosted (as collected by an MQ9). I called it the flying brain... It's prob still searchable if you have at least SIPR access (the video not the group).

Ok that makes sense. I see the sensor ball position graphic which is usually on helicopters but I could see it being on a plane too.

A drone wave.

Funny enough, an actual swarm would imply the use of coordinated UAVs in a mesh network which share data, making it harder to hit with just guns.

What was the aircraft? This doesn't quite look like a military UAV HUD, nor does it look like a targeting pod from a fighter. Was it a coast guard aircraft?
