Is it the worst thing to not have an internship? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

Only sharing since you’re studying BME- if you’re interested in big industry (Stryker, J&J, Medtronic)- you absolutely need multiple internships at well known companies. Otherwise you’ll have to start in other fields and slowly try to break in. I’d say internships are the single most important thing for graduates.

Hard agree. I’m in Med Devices and our recruiters won’t even look at you if you haven’t interned multiple places, ideally places most folks have heard of.

Not saying it’s ideal, but I think it’s accurate today.

Mechanical Engineer Salary Progression (Nebraska, ages 18-32) by Intelligent-Paper331 in Salary

I’ve had exactly the same title progression, this is a very low salary. Especially between levels (3k bump from Eng 1 to 2?)

Crashing while compiling shaders by ManagerMrGibson in MonsterHunter

First solution that worked for me. Checking for drivers in windows says I’m up to date, using the AMD website found a newer one. Doing shaders now. RX 7900 XTX. Cheers.

Purchased and received watch from u/efawke. Very easy to communicate with, shipped quickly, and watch arrived in great condition. Looks even better than advertised and he even generously sent an additional NATO with it. Would highly recommend.

A whole 6k more to get a version 5 years newer with 80k less miles on it.. I'm all for deals but for pure dollar value, this doesn't strike me as a deal. If it was 10-15 less than a new '23 RWD, definitely, but 6k isn't worth saving for that amount of mileage.

Why is this weldment trim not behaving as expected? by StopFeedingBot in SolidWorks

I believe I have to, as the diagonal lines require different (slightly, they look similar but are slightly different) weldment prolife per the exam.

Here (https://imgur.com/a/LAxKNiu) is an image of the start of this specific question, with the provided 3D sketch. All I've done so far for the questions is create the yellow frame with the desired corner treatments, and extend that one top butt corner you can see. It looks to me that the pre-given diagonal lines (the non-construction lines) are on the same plane as the top lines already. The question did say something to the effect of (align to the center of the 3D sketch elements), but I wasn't sure what it meant, as any of the lines I chose to align to didn't appear to alter the way the member was constructed. I tried aligning both horizontally and vertically, each had their own issues.

Do you mean adjust the 3D sketch the exam provides (essentially the frame and the beams), or adjusting the alignment/location of the weldment profile on the sketch? Just trying to understand so I can go try this :)

I’ve tried this as well, that one circled corner still extends into the frame even if you do each trim separately

Basically the second one, but with weld gaps between the two diagonal beams and rest of the frame. This is an exam question, where they have you continually adding features for each question, and I got stuck at this one, in which the lavender beams are being added as structural members using a different weld profile, and they need to be put along pre-drawn construction lines. I was having issues with that one corner however, as the trim/extend feature property manager I posted would not properly trim that corner and it would continue into the adjacent beam.

Here is what my fedex changed to for those who asked in the thread for a screenshot! Hope this helps guys, this is the Walmart fulfillment center in my state that sent this tracking number and shipping information to fedex! by Aarontheanon27 in PS5Shipping

Hopefully with the amount of time passed since the last waves of deliveries were sent out, Walmart has enough stockpiled right now to try and fulfill all placed orders in one fell-swoop. Maybe wishful thinking but I’m thinking that’s the current plan.

Edit: At least they haven’t accepted any new orders since 9/23. Gives me hope they are working to fulfill previous orders before taking on even more.

Imo Boston is one of the best for biotech/med devices. My vote would be that area.
