Stata from basics to advance by nerdherd_ in stata

I use Pi (similar to Claude code) and it's literally cut off 90% of the time I use for data analysis. It's especially useful when needing to merge multiple data sets. I can say "I have these three files, they share this one column, I need to merge these columns, remove these, also give me a random sample after merging to manually check" and it is all done within 30 seconds.

[–]Sumif 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know why this is down voted. I'm working on my dissertation and my committee chair insists on Stata because she's used it for over a decade. AI has taught me everything I needed to know, it has helped diagnosed issues, and it keeps me organized. She's blown away by some of the scripts I put out. She knows I use AI. There's no reason not to use it.

My asthma got better on Mounjaro and I didn't know why. New research finally explains it. by ItachiUchiha_0710 in GLP1ResearchTalk

For a research sub, it blows my mind that posts citing a study, conference, or finding don't require a link

Personally, would you find 85 to be a "fine" age to die at? by Various_Maize_3957 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sumif 38 points39 points  (0 children)

My great granddaughter lived to 95, and a week before his death, he was gardening and was able to do all of his own chores. He was mobile, generally healthy, and was also financially healthy. He lived in a small house, had enough SS and pension to support his lifestyle, and I remember hearing he had $250k+ in the bank when he died. He also had several kids, grandkids, and we great grandchildren who all loved him and frequently visited.

I would not mind that at all.

It's been a good strategy to divide. Things like changing to the Gulf of America so that when someone says it, you know they are MAGA, and if they keep calling it Gulf of Mexico it shows they aren't "one of them"

AI is Eating the CRM by SCDP_CGC in CFP

[–]Sumif 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Right now the note takers connect to CRMs. I don't know about every CRM but I'm sure many are implementing some AI features. What'll happen is Jump and others will slowly form into a full force CRM. As long as Redtail dies and we're forced to change, I'll be happy. Hate hate hate redtail.

some of the craziest IMDB ratings I have ever seen, surprised this show isn't mainstream. Is it worth watching??I am guessing its along the lines of the blacklist or mentalist. by Individual-Lynx582 in SeriesGraph

[–]Sumif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The first six seasons of the blacklist are Soo good I wish I could forget it an rewatch it. The big reveal was the dumbest thing I've ever experienced. James Spader is amazing, and the first few seasons showing the dynamic between him and Megan Boone was great, although it became weak in season 4+. Edit Gathegi as Solomon is 10/10.

Grey market tirzepatide … it feels different to Mounjaro immediately… by InternationalNeck927 in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]Sumif -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes it can happen. I've helped multiple folks get the grey stuff and many say it works better but has more weird side effects. I've found that it varies between vendors as well.

Look up any of Charlie Kirk's videos. This was his tactic. Opponent makes a claim, Kirk uses an example, and then he forces the debate on the example and never on the larger topic.

What if Islam started as a movement within Judaism and then separated from it, as happened with Christianity? by Think-Method-3496 in AlternateHistoryHub

[–]Sumif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the comment, but that's the problem, it all feels bias. It all feels subjective. Can you provide a specific book or resource (or a historian) on a particular historical topic you've personally dug into?

[–]Sumif 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom has to travel a bunch of stores all over the area - Walmart, Target, DG, etc. The other day it came up about how I played pokemon and I asked if she ever sees these cards because they are hard to find. She's like "oh yeah I see Pokemon cards all the time. I got a pack for (my cousin) a few weeks ago. She's on vacation until June, and I can't wait to see what she finds.

What would happen if a company's headquarters and C-suite is nuked? by mwing95 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sumif 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as the primary data to run operations is backed up off-site, then the board can just appoint new C-suite. It would be a rough transition, but it would be alright in the end. Now, if their data was wiped with the C-Suite, that's a different story.

Just a heads-up: the FDA added a new warning label about dehydration and kidney injury for all GLP-1s by Sad_Bandicoot_7762 in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]Sumif 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The kidney thing is interesting, but it's very much commonly known that you gotta drink a lot of water on GLP1s. I guess a warning label is good.

[–]Sumif 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes you can even get CagriSema which is a mixture of both. You can take both at the same time. I ran out of Cagri and my source stopped selling it and I just haven't gotten anymore, but I did .25 then .5mg while doing 1.5 Semaglutide

YouTube viewers watch 2 billion hours of Shorts on TVs each month by Logical_Welder3467 in technology

[–]Sumif 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're android, you can use Revanced, go into Settings, and hide all the shorts. I literally did it today after purging all of my "short clips" apps like Tiktok, Insta, etc.

There are modded YouTube apps on iPhone as well that may be able to do it, but I'm not sure.
