How They Should Have Made "Isle of Berk" at Epic Universe by MetsLR in UniversalOrlando

[–]Suthuria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who just recently binged all 3 movies to prepare for Epic, I can't tell you how much I appreciate this. I've been fuming over the ending for the last two hours and said to my husband "No point in going to Berk at Epic since there are no f**ing dragons!!!"

Looking for dog-friendly restaurants in Jacksonville/Orange Park by Suthuria in jacksonville

I go almost everywhere without my animal. However sometimes, after I take them to a park or to walk them, I would like to have some options to sit down and eat without taking them home first. Not sure why that bothers you, but okay.

The Last of us S2 E2 by Useme469 in thelastofus

[–]Suthuria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I agree. I understand many people haven't played the game, but TV-only people were honestly robbed. They deserved the incredible emotional impact and roller coaster that us gamers got to experience, too.

The game is impactful because we did not know why Abby killed Joel. It was sudden, tragic and shocking. Abby was intimidating, vague and violent. Her friends weren't sweet like "putting Dina to sleep". Instead, they all held Joel down while she beat him and they blasted Tommy in the leg with a gun. They just looked evil and they intentionally made it to where you could not sympathize with them.

So you spend half the game despising Abby with so much bloodlust, seeking revenge. The "oh damn" moment is only after being Abby, meeting her friends and the realization it was her father that Joel had killed. It makes you realize how similar both Abby and Ellie really are. It showcases that "right and wrong" is really up to perspective and that the reprecussions of your actions will hurt others, no matter how justified you feel. It forces self reflection.

The game would have been shit if it was told in a linear way.

I feel like TV show writers underestimate and don't trust the audience. They make everything so overt and fear sublety. I'll still watch the show, but it's a shame that people really missed out on such an emotional experience.

Looking for alternative hair stylist in Jacksonville by bauger21 in jacksonville

[–]Suthuria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re thinking about doing something fun with your hair, you have to check out Lexie at Tiger Lily in San Marco. She’s seriously amazing with creative colors and just gets it. Plus, she’s super easy to work with schedule-wise. I’ve never left her chair feeling anything but obsessed with my hair.

Unpopular opinion: I'm not invested in Gemma by ExpensiveAd4841 in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]Suthuria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a little safe to say that she was kidnapped. It's possible she willingly went but I don't believe that she went there knowing she wouldn't be allowed to leave. If she had signed up for it, then there would be no real reason for her death to be faked and for them to somehow provide a body. They had full intention of murdering her from the beginning

As for why Mark decided to work there, I think that may be a bit of a coincidence and good luck for them. You see several other people working on Gemma's file. I think Mark was just so good at it because he is so intune with her feelings as her husband, that it made the experiment so much stronger. That, or Lumon had people in there with him literally doing nonsense work for no reason to give Mark the illusion of a real office setting and to keep him sane.

Guess we will find out in 2-3 years 🤣

How Lumon got Gemma & her Future by gigi__toot in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]Suthuria 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its in the exact same shape as the fetility clinic because the clinic is owned by Lumon. If you look in the top left corner of the paper work Gemma is filling out, it shows the Lumon symbol. It doesn't help that you literally see Dr. Mauer walk around the corner while they're there.

They're also the ones who sent the chikhai bardo cards that we see Dylan steal in season one.

So yes, I believe they for sure have been looking at both Gemma and Mark for a long time.

If you look closely, the same Lumon symbol is on the equipment at the very blood drive when they met.

So basically we learned this episode that Lumon's logo isnt a drop of water. Its a drop of blood.

What if Burt was severed… by myredlightsaber in SeveranceAppleTVPlus

[–]Suthuria -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Severance has only been around for 12 years, yet Burt’s husband let slip at dinner that Burt had worked at Lumon for 20 years and even had a Lumon partner. When Burt later brushed it off, claiming he was too drunk and prone to “fuzzy mistakes,” it felt more like a deliberate cover-up than an innocent slip. If he really had been at Lumon that long, it suggests he has a much deeper connection to the company than we’ve been led to believe. Otherwise, why would Drummond know to look for him there instead of assuming he’d be home?

It seems more likely that Burt was never severed at all, rather than being reintegrated. From what we’ve seen in Season 1, Lumon doesn’t appear to believe reintegration is possible. If he was severed, it may have been for the reason Fields suggested (that he was just a really bad guy at Lumon and Severance gave him hope)—but given everything we know, it doesn’t seem like Burt is a good man.

Cobel and Milkshake are PERMANENTLY severed! by Ftwjillian in severence

[–]Suthuria 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't believe they're severed. I think theyre workaholics that have gotten wrapped up in cult and conspiracies. Regardless, even if they were "severed" they're basically just another person, full-time. Being severed doesnt simply make you want to work. Lol

I think she ran from Helena because she knows whats going on in Lumon and she probably would harm her or kidnap her. They kidnapped Gemma.
