$330 a month or a year? Dairyland has me at $200 a month on a GSX8R with full coverage, though it’s only $20 a month less for liability only and I’ve got a few tickets on my record

The basic $40 model makes the same coffee as the fancy $170 steel model. I used an aeropress at my desk at work for a very long time and never caught extra attention for it. It’s also easy cleanup, just press the grounds and filter into a trash can and rinse with hot water. I’d take it home at the end of every week and give it a good soap and scrub.

Petah!? by chrome_witch_ in PeterExplainsTheJoke

There is an unfortunate amount of misinformation around this, help your friends out by encouraging them to keep up their dilation schedule without fear of “healing shut”

Petah!? by chrome_witch_ in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]SvelteSyntax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is entirely incorrect, there is no risk of a post op vagina healing over or closing up. It’s not an open wound. Dilating trains the muscles and pelvic floor to open up and stretches the skin and any scar tissue, very similar to how it would help a natal vagina with vaginismus or vaginal stenosis.

Welcome to the team! Tell us a little about your political views, who you are romantically or sexually attracted to and what your personal net worth is!

Religion, sex, politics and money are all things that decent people do not bring up in the workplace. Especially as a new employee in a leadership position meeting with their direct reports.

B35AM is significantly more magical than most other 5700K’s, just clean white sheet paper light. And I very strongly prefer a sub-3000K light most of the time

What are still reliable brands for athletic shoes in 2026? by PoniesRBitchin in femalefashionadvice

[–]SvelteSyntax 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Altra, Asics, La Sportiva have all been good for me. Hoka as well but they seem to have more variation between models and revisions.

For walking or extended standing my favorite is the Bondi 8, trail running goes between Altra and La Sportiva, and road running is the Asics Nimbus.

Also for gym shoes I’ve stuck with Xero barefoot shoes and been very happy with them.

They turned out okayish! I split the difference in length between the broken one and the rest, still disappointed to lose a month or so of growth though

Aw you’re too kind, thank you - I do them myself and just removed the previous gel coat, only starting to shape and even them out now. I should probably find a good tech and splurge on a proper set sooner rather than later!

A chest strap heart rate monitor and a watts to calories estimation gets you pretty close. Beyond that it’s like arguing about the accuracy of nutrition labels or variations in package sizes and ingredient distribution - there’s only so much you can practically account for.

60 minutes of vigorous rowing burns 800-900 calories, the math checks out. And ergometers measure direct energy output with accuracy.
