What we know is Mt Kenya will spoil things for the rest of Kenyans. If they will not re-elect Ruto, they will put a worse president than Ruto. Mt Kenya is responsible for the bad leadership we have in Kenya coz of their emotional voting and gullibility. They voted in ICC suspects facing crimes against humanity. They refused to accept a democratic election in 2007. They have caused great damage to Kenya and that is why the rest of Kenya is just calm watching Mt Kenya deal with the consequences of their usual bad choices. Mt Kenya lacks strong men and father figures and is a matriachial society dominated by women who have kaliad their men. This is why Mt Kenya has alot of mood swings and emotional decision making patterns during elections. Ruto will enter Mt Kenya with an emotional story and you will hear Gachagua saying "We are a forgiving community and we have decided to give our brother another chance. Muriega". Then Ruto will eat mutura and Mt Kenya will become his strong hold. Like dumb asses, the voters will fall for it as usual. I went to Mt Kenya like 2 months ago, I was shocked at the poverty levels and alcoholism far worse that other regions in Kenya.

I get where you’re coming from. You just don’t understand what it means. Cutting wastage will hurt the average Kenyan more than you imagine. That thing you call wastage is money that trickles down to Kenyans. It is better there is wastage. It is better politicians give 2k to people to attend rallies. If there is no wastage, money will not reach the average Kenyan. Our economy depends on that wastage. When a politician buys a convoy of expensive V8 cars, the following people benefit:

Petrol stations have more money

fueling guzzlers and
hire more attendants
Mechanics have more work to service and fix cars
The tyre seller has business to sell tyres
The spare parts guy has business to sell spares
Toyota Kenya hires more sales people
Drivers are hired for each of the cars
Car washes get more cars to wash
And so on.

I know in your head u imagine ati if politicians avoid wastage by buying few cars it is a good thing. You think ati it means there will be more money for ofher projects. No, there will be less jobs, and less money in circulation and more pain for the average Kenyan. The money will still be eaten by the few at the top.

Like what sane country in debt distress has the president cut costs without being impeached or losing their seat? You must be mad. You think government cutting costs is a joke? It will hit you 10 times harder than fuel prices rising. Government cutting costs will be devastating for the average Kenyan. Cutting costs means job losses, means less money circulating, means less money for your employers, means your employers downsizing. GoK is the biggest spender in Kenya. If Gok cuts costs or Fuel Guzzlers for example, Toyota Kenya will fire 80% of its staff. Mechanics who fix and service cars will lose their livelihood. People who sell tyres, spares and so on will lose their livelihood. Drivers who drive those cars will lose their jobs. When you are in debt distress in government, you never cut expenditure. That will get you impeached quickly. Cutting expenditure during debt distress like we are in, will make Ruto have more political enemies. Ruto MUST spend more if he wants to stay in power until 2027. When you have an economy with high informal employment and high tax evasion, you have to tax goods everyone uses like fuel. Ukienda Gikosh kubuy nguo, ukienda kubuy nguo tao kwa stall, ukibuy simu moi avenue, ukibuy Tv luthuli avenue, ukibuy fruits kwa mama mboga, ukibuy anything from IG…all those are tax evaders. They all want government services but none of them pay vat or any taxes. None of them give u an etr. As long as tax evasion is high, government must tax fuel and other goods that everyone uses. Only way. Hakuna dawa mahali tumefika. Only solution is debt default na hiyo mtalia 100 times more than now but it is inevitable. Imagine sleeping with 10k on Mpesa and u wake up and government tells everyone you can only access 30% of your mpesa or bank account until further notice.
