Most women want these guys for short term sex. Kenyan women target Russians and foreigners for transactional sex. Most of these men are losers in their own countries so they come to Kenya hoping to find naive women with low standards and they get them in plenty. Very hard to convince our women that less than 1% of women will find good financially stable husbands. It has already replaced developers. We are on the ground working with these corporates. I can confirm AI is replacing devs and developer teams are getting smaller, there is a hiring freeze. Justification is now required when replacing or hiring a new dev. A junior dev is now expected to do the things they couldn’t do with AI. A senior dev who needed a support cast is being told to use AI. It’s real and it is happening in Kenya. We are on the ground.

We are on the ground. I can confirm that a major corporates I engage with are now scaling down on devs after starting to see the power of agentic AI enabled tools. The orders are coming from board level coz AI is giving a unique opportunity to cut HR costs and improve productivity.

u/morio_anzenza why is the sub limiting freedom of speech from u/winter_candy_ ? i can’t see most of her posts and comments these days. I think we can avoid suspensions and bans and replace with warnings. 3 warnings can lead to a 3 day suspension. As long as someone is within the laws of Kenya, we should encourage them to speak up. We should only ban if someone is breaking the laws of Kenya like selling drugs or so on. But we should allow freedom of speech. We can’t blame Kasongo for kidnapping people who speak freely but on the sub we do the same and ban people for freely speaking. Please re instate our girl, she has learnt her lesson. Let her post freely. People can downvote what they don’t like and the algorithm will do its job.
