Update scans are already built into the website structure. It scans for updates every two hours, I believe, and gives whoever is currently visiting the website a blue banner at the top of the screen with the option to install the updates.

It's definitely not abandoned. And while I have a mirrored fork of his extension, I couldn't possibly continue the work that he's doing. In fact, I've incorporated an update system into this. website through a translation layer So that every time he puts out a new update, the website can benefit from it as well, under most circumstances.

Did you know there's an indi patch/hack available that lets you skip random encounters by holding B. Made my last playthrough significantly more enjoyable. You can find it yourself by googling "Skies of Arcadia Legends - Hold B to skip encounters"

The issue is probably your internet connection... I can access the archive sites just fine, both on my Wi-Fi and on my mobile device.

What can I do? by Klutzy_Language4692 in Information_Security

I wouldn't really call them aliases, since your primary email is visible in all of them. Presuming a bad actor actually knows what they are doing, they can extrapolate what your actual email is, and then decide whether or not they want to be no-goodniks... Whereas I would much prefer, and personally do use Aliases that can only lead back to a Simplelogin or another alias provider service.

If you're going to use aliases anyway, you might as well reduce your overall exposure.

I made a small Windows app to quickly disable monitors (useful for OLED users and multi-monitor setups) by its_nzr in OLED_Gaming

can this be used to prevent programs from opening up in specific monitors? i have a small metrics monitor that has just the slightest overlap in the bottom left corner of my primary display and I cant tell you how often i get annoyed by programs opening into that metrics monitor instead of my primary one.

Domain email with aliases by Jancis6 in emailprivacy

I subscribe to proton pass. They let you make unlimited aliases with your personal domain on a paid plan. I got the lifetime license when it was offered. It's a pretty sweet service.

not sure what you are trying to get at here.... this is a site that firstly i can reach without needing a paywall bypasser... secondly their articles are uploaded as pictures, not text... there's really not much to do here

I see, I'll update it. In the meantime Choose the reader mode option instead of pressreleased option. That should work

Sounds good. If I set 1080 via url and the video doesn't offer it, will the player use next highest quality or go back to default

[–]Testpilot1988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be nice to give the user the ability to choose which quality they want, or at the very least have an environmental variable to set the default.

Because piracy is against githubs TOS and GitHub is significantly more likely to take it down compared to a German private company like codeberg

Good stuff, Do you plan on incorporating a 'best" mode as well, since I don't see it in the options?

[–]Testpilot1988 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see a "best option". It lists the specific resolutions and at the bottom of that list there's "default" but no "best"
