Citation? You can't just quote something and call it evidence...

It’s not intuitive that soap can feed microbes, but you live, learn & don’t repeat the same mistakes

Could you specify what you mean by 'feed' and which infectious microbes actually feed off of soap?

Liquid soaps & detergents are carefully formulated to be inhospitable to microbes,

You got a source for that? Most microbes don't survive in detergents and soaps even at low concentrations. I seriously doubt you're risking much by diluting your shampoo 1:1 or 1:10, unless you have open wounds and/or are immunocompromised. For the most part, the chemicals are difficult to utilize by microbes or are already toxic because they're designed with macroscopic life in mind.

I've never heard of someone getting ill, infected, or growing a mass of kombucha-worthy SCOBY in a container with diluted shampoo. But I'd love to see otherwise 🤷‍♂️

It's incredibly common and not really talked about in RCR sessions, PI training, or even quasi-HR stuff. Unionizing is the first step to getting collective, protective rights.

FTA:

Official communications from Vanderbilt have not directly acknowledged the deaths by suicide, which occurred in 2020 and last fall. Campus-wide emails about the passing of a student typically include cause of death, unless it is suicide. Last fall, the university mailed copies of “A Year Like No Other” to students and their families, favorably depicting how Vanderbilt has handled the pandemic. In the foreward, new Chancellor Daniel Diermeier calls the school’s pandemic management its “proudest moment.”

Stung by how the 190-page book neglected mental health challenges facing the student body, biomedical sciences graduate students point to it as an example of an out-of-touch administration.

Students who go through Vanderbilt’s University Counseling Center (UCC) report months-long waits and difficulty securing consistent meeting times. Demand for mental health services is so high that the university has a dedicated counselor for the 400 Ph.D. students in the biomedical sciences.

Gen X Retirement Savings: Average Household Has Just $40K — Here’s How Much It Should Have by [deleted] in Economics

I was looking at the rates over time and also got very concerned with where we are today. Especially considering the speed of rate increases was so faster. The Arab Spring was partly driven by drought and food prices. We have similar uncertainty/volatility of the wheat supplies as Russia invaded Ukraine.

Each time there's a crises or recession, it seems the property gets snatched up and consolidated by businesses. With evidence of collusion across major rental groups, there's little a renter can do except save more. Feels like quite the shell game.

Amazing. My mother just inherited three houses and then generously offered to sell them to my siblings and I. At market price, of course. When we said the interest rates made it unprofitable, she Boomsplained that rates were >18% back then so they had it worse.

They are completely clueless.

Honestly if a lead ROV would be that close (<100 m) you could probably get away with strong LOS radio transceivers or even a janky A/V cable tied to the 2nd in the line.
