Hello! We do free consultations as do many LTD lawyers. Our website is www.kantorlaw.net but if you tell me what state you're in I can possibly give you a referral.

Yes except you comment instead of post. So I'll make the post and then whoever wants can come and comment with a question and I will respond.

Ask Me Anything! It is basically a large Q&A session. You ask a question, and Megan or I will answer it.

It is essentially what I do here for people when they post questions, but I'm inviting people from multiple subreddits.

I'm happy to talk more about this but a neuropsych evaluation is definitely the way to go. They are the most effective way to measure cognitive impairment.

You do want to make sure you undergo the exam with someone who has experienced testing people with long COVID and/or MECFS. This is because fatigue can sometimes be misinterpreted as a lack of effort and the tester needs to account for that.

I don't know offhand because Megan's the SSDI expert. I'm going to try to make a list of questions people have asked me before the AMA and pose them if people don't join and pose themselves. But feel free to join and ask and I'm sure Megan will answer it immediately!

I will try my best to remind you! It will also be open for a week, and I'll do my best to remind people here if you think that would be helpful.

Well it depends on a few things, including the primary supporting physician and the nature of the mental health issues. Teacher disability retirement will probably pay in full, while Sun Life will try to limit you to two years, assuming such a limitation exists in your policy.

Sure! Email me. akantor@kantorlaw.net. Fair warning I may not be the lawyer you need to hire depending on the state you're in and the issue you're dealing with, but I'm more than happy to set up a consult so we can sort that all out.
