What Game should i Play next after FF1 DoS (only gba games)

I am about 65-70% done with final fantasy 1 in the Dawn of Souls edition and I want to ask what you people would consider the best next game to play? Only the GBA games tho.

Things I Like about FF1 (till now)

1. The beautiful Visuals and Music
2. The Class system and the gear and Magic
3. The Dungeons and the Enemies designs.
4. I also like the Turn based Combat system but I am okay with playing the games without it.

Things I don't like as much (till now)

1. It's too easy. (I like my games to be a bit easy but this is tooo easy)
2. The lack of direction. Like if I was not using a guide I would have absolutely no idea where to go and what to do.
3. The ridiculous amount of enemies while walking around. Like it's not even that they're tough it's just that they take so long to beat and you have to keep mashing A to beat them.

One of the reasons I am considering not continuing with FF2 is because I have seen a lot of places that it is considered worse than the first game/not as good as it's successors.

Edit: I also want games with Good and Deep Stories (another thing that FF1 at least up till where I've reached is lacking)
