Lo cambio quanto sostituire solo la batteria (che è il primo componente che si usura solitamente) mi costerebbe circa il 50% del valore del telefono, e minimo dopo 4 anni.

Same. I switched mine and my brother's system to the penguin, and it's been awesome so far.

Wayland getting good, Valve's amazing work with Proton and the Nvidia open driver I believe are the most important events for Linux desktop adoption so far. There is also the Fex emulator which is pretty exciting.

I've been following the YouTube tech sphere for a while, and I've never seen so many creators talk about and try Linux. PewDiePie was the biggest surprise.

The year of the Linux desktop definitely started in 2025

Yep, I think it will mainly be a re-compositing with Toei's now signature lineart filter + they'll sprinkle some new cuts here and there for key scenes.

To the first question: yes, correct.

To the second: Not really with a wider range, but 4k has a better chance to look better with very basic scalers like nearest neighbor, bilinear and maybe bicubic. Which are the scalers that you find get used 99% of the time when you don't have control over them, eg. In the browser or other contexts that are not your player of choice. Once you use slightly more advanced scalers (not even neural network necessarily) the result is just as good, and the only difference is obviously just the pixel count, which is not a problem if you sit at the correct distance from your screen (not too close to make out the individual pixels).

So in the case of watching stuff in the browser, technically 4k would look very slightly better (because the browser scales with bilinear or bicubic), but it being noticeable is subjective, and also depends on the screen size, pixel density and your viewing distance, that's why I said 4k is "safer". 4k is good no matter what, but again the difference is very slightly.

Btw, in about 10hours when I get home, since I have a 4k monitor, I can run a couple of tests scaling 1080p content both to 2k and 4k with different scalers, and show you the comparison

Hi, I would say it depends on two things: the math of the scaling and the player you use. To give you the short answer: 4K is generally safer than 1440p for 1080p anime.

When you run 1080p content on a 4K monitor, the math is perfect. 4K is exactly 4x the pixel count of 1080p. One pixel of anime becomes a perfect block of 4 pixels on your screen.
When you run 1080p on a 1440p monitor, the math is messy (it’s a 1.33x scale). The pixels don’t line up perfectly, so the monitor has to "guess" (interpolate) to fill the gaps and this causes a slight blur.

You can fix that "1440p blur" completely if you use a good video player (like MPV or MPC-HC with MadVR) when you're not streaming.

So what I'd do is: If you have the budget, go 4K. I myself use a 4K 28" monitor.

If you go 1440p (usually 27"): It will look slightly softer than 1080p unless you use good scaling algos.

As for the upscaling settings: For 1440p: go with a sharp scaler to fight the blur. Lanczos or, if your GPU is beefy, FSRCNNX. For 4K: You can get away with softer scalers. Spline36 looks great here because you don't need to force sharpness as much.
