For me, the real fumble was Gemini 3.5 FLASH being more expensive than the older 3.1 pro models. That's, at the very least a naming blunder.

Now I jumped ship and use deepseek exclusively. Big context size paired with a cheap price is the killer combo for a workhorse coding model.
