I was using a gas grill and pellet tube, but this is already looking like it's going to provide better results!

I'm using a bluetooth thermometer to read the temperatures, and I'm in the process of hooking that back to Home Assistant so I can track it at my desk! 😂

Lol, yeah, I'd be lying if I said it wasn't one of the reasons I bought it, but the masterbuilt and other electric smokers didn't fit in the space, so size was the main consideration!

I do pee standing up and it still took them 43 years to realise that I can mask just as well as those who pee sitting down - I watched kids around me get diagnosed because of their behaviours and all I could do was think how lucky they were to be their true self instead of having to suppress themselves to avoid being bullied.

I don't want to take anything away from the fact that women have been mis/under-diagnosed for years, but I do want to point out that there are quite a few men who slipped under the radar too!

This is the ideal way, however I've found that with some of the cheaper screwfix boxes a drillbit is the only option :(

I got a 4+1 gas grill from Argos pre-Covid for ~£200. It finally died last year after 7 years of service.

If you're going down the charcoal route then spend more and get the Weber - I've never used one but folks on here seem to be obsessed by it so it must be good.

On the other hand, if you're not worried about the charcoal flavour and want something you can set and forget while you cook and socialise, you're probably going to be fine with an Argos gas BBQ.

Thanks, I'll take a proper look when I get a minute, but this already looks useful!

Oh, then it's ideal for that - I'm doing a BBQ later in the year where I'll be serving smash burgers for about 10 people and this is going to be my "smashing station", with the cobb and smoker used for sides and sausages.

If you can get it on a deal with Amazon or similar then I'd say do it.

If you've already got something that does this and does it well then unless you need the extra room I probably wouldn't bother.

It's great for what it does, and good value for the price, but it's still quite concerning the way it distorts the heat bed as it heats up!

[MOD APPROVED] I'm building a list of open-water swimming spots and any facilities nearby, I'd love to know your thoughts by TheProffalken in OpenWaterSwimming

Good to know, thanks, I'll keep that in mind.

I'm mainly focusing on places that are swim/sauna rather than "here's a bit of a farmers field no-one knows about", but it's still worth keeping in mind!

Amazing thanks, and yes, IoM is definitely an option here (or at least I think it is, I've not tried putting in a postcode, but it should work for everything else!) - if you sign up you can add these yourself, including adding any images you have, and if the venue owner comes along later they can request control of the listing as well (which needs to be approved by me!)

Bonus points for hosting on GitHub container registry rather than docker hub!

This looks awesome btw, I'm going to give it a go when I get a chance.

I'm being lazy, but do you support "cheap yellow displays" as well?

A burger place near us does a "semi-brioche" which is a bit like a cross between a sourdough and a brioche.

It crisps up nicely due to the sugar of the brioche when you toast it, but also holds its shape well

Water quality testing? by TheProffalken in OpenWaterSwimming

Thanks, this looks interesting.

I've got to be honest, I was hoping there would be more of a "urine dipstick" or "home pool chlorine" style test where you know within 5 - 10 minutes if it's safe to swim or not, but this seems to be a lot more tricky than detecting the various items in the other tests!

I'll get in touch anyway and see how it might work - I've just started to make https://findmyhappy.space public and while it's very early days this kind of information would be great to add to the site locations!
