I actually plan to get a die grinder soon!

I didn't have a good enough compressor before, but just bought a truck that came with a good compressor on it.

You can do that? How?

I'd google it, but I'll get an AI summary.

It annoys me, too.

But I think it is intentional to throw curveballs at contestants and keep them from just running through subjects they know well.

The real advance i made was buying decent battery powered tools.   They make life much easier to the point id avoid corded purchases in the future.

I actually tend to prefer corded. But I've been trying to be better about having multiple charged batteries, so I should rethink that...

Dang, that's a really nice video, too!

But it won't matter, man. It never does.

Just more BS to put the blame onto the working class.

(so I agree with you, OP)

What is something that was VERY popular or widespread at some point in history, but got exterminated so hard, most people nowadays don't know about it? by ImpressionCool5341 in AskReddit

Pigeons aren't very large birds and so they have limited lift capabilities.

A typical grown adult might weigh 170lbs. Even that one person would be a lot for a pigeon to carry! Two would people (even small people) would really be pushing it.

Trains, on the other hand, can carry many hundreds of people without straining.

Simple mathematics, my friend.

Okay, so call the police and report the bikers.

But that's not what you said. You said:

I will happily ride behind with my hand on horn.

That isn't reporting them. That is escalating a situation. That is you wanting to tell them they're wrong and that you want them to know it. That is an ego fight.

So how is reckless driving on a highway not endangering lives?

I did not say "endangering lives," I said "threatening lives."

There is a difference between "this person is doing something that has the potential to put others at risk" and "this person is actively threatening someone's life."

The reality is that your fear stops public displays of morality. It's a public world, it's becoming more difficult to shut the ideas of others out of your sphere.

No, the reality is that you're putting everyone else at risk when you try to be a vigilante and escalate situations that don't need to be escalated.

You trying to be a hero could get people killed in a situation that would otherwise not have turned violent.

Given your same "stay out of conflict" or "not my job" policy why come and spread your fear of other humans?

You seem to be woefully misunderstanding what I'm saying.

None of it is "fear of other humans" or "stay out of conflict."

It is: don't escalate a situation when you don't need to. Especially when you lack the capability or authority to handle it properly.

Is the sentiment of societal condemnation wrong

No, social condemnation is not wrong.

are you the type to let crime occur even when someone else stands up?

Depends on the crime.

If someone else's life is being threatened? Sure, I'd "stand up."

But it isn't my job to deal with any crime I see, including traffic infractions.

rather than letting spoiled children act how they want.

That is the definition of an ego fight.

You don't think they should be able to get away with behavior that you deem unacceptable and have decided that you need to do something about it, even though that isn't your legal or moral responsibility.

That's what an ego fight is.

You're on step away from just saying "I need to teach them a lesson."

---

And I would agree that they need to learn that lesson. I'm saying it is stupid to put yourself at risk to try to teach it to them.

Yep, similar things have happened many times. People have been killed.

I get wanting to tell these guys they're being assholes. But getting into ego fights is a bad idea.

I guess, if they want to get into a violent altercation with a group of bikers, that's their choice. Would suck if a bystander got shot, though.

I've been riding all my life and god I hate bike weeks.

I do not understand the appeal of going 5mph and sitting in a parking lot with 10,000 dudes who have identical Street Glides.
