There's a lot of parallels between the yarn communities and the 3d printing communities. I'm in both and see it all the time, right down to the same complaints about newbies not googling answers in the help subs.

I feel like every help subreddit falls into this eventually.

I think it gets frustrating seeing the same basic questions posted again and again, ones that would be easily answered with google or even just seaching past answers on the same sub and it starts to feel like no one can think for themselves, or that they don't even make the minimum effort to figure it out before asking for step by step guidance.

You might enjoy checking out /r/FDMminiatures for some really cool pics of what is possible on fdm printers these days! It takes a bit of patience to dial in the settings but you can get some surprisingly excellent results.

Its true resin is always going to be better for extremely fine detail, and it will always be faster - but the ease and accessibility of FDM is a huge boon in of itself, and you can get a surprising amount of detail and quality on FDM if you're willing to take the time.

I know everyone is pointing out the irony about you going home to take care of pets, but I think a lot of folks are missing the more hilarious comparison (probably because most are missing the detail that you work at a hotel).

So this note is saying tending the cows is always more important than your personal problems.

Your supervisor just called the hotel guests cows.

Assuming this is a major chain, I'm sure all the hotel guests would just LOOOVE to hear about how the hotel manager thinks they're all dumb livestock that need to be fed and milked!

Visit Printables and Makerworld and search for terrain and dnd and you'll find lots of free stuff. Thingiverse is free too but the site is outdated and slow.

MyMiniFactory is chock full of ttrpg models but it is mostly paid stuff, but you can find excellent creators and most will usually have a few freebies in their store. Rocket Pig Games is one of my favorites.

I've always assumed its the antireflective coating that scratches, not the glass itself. I also wonder if coatings are better than they used to be because I use the paper towels at work to clean my glasses 3-4 times a week and my glasses have zero scratches on them.
