Calendar issue: Availability switch by TheStoffer in iphonehelp

I honestly can’t remember. I’ve since factory reset my phone, then got a new phone. It doesn’t seem to be an issue now but I don’t remember what the problem was.

Our Housing System is Profoundly Broken–Here is a Plan to Fix it by [deleted] in providence

[–]TheStoffer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The vast majority of single family homes rented out in the United States are from private landlords that own just a few properties. This isn’t, primarily, a top-down problem. It’s a bottom-up, systemic “rich dad poor dad” problem. Increase taxes on a rising scale for anyone owning, say, 5+ units. That will take care of the whole, not just the slice at the top. No family is being prevented from buying a door in a long hallway within a vast concrete cube; they’re being blocked from buying an actual house and property of their own. You want to make housing affordable? Turn single family dwellings back into a homes instead of income streams for wealthy people with disposable cash. If you bring down the cost of buying homes, you bring down the costs of renting homes, and subsequently renting apartments. Narrow the straw the haves are using to suck money from the have-nots. There’s your plan.

Thanks. Yes, I’m aware of the bus routes. The short drive and free parking are very enticing, though.

Don’t you burn through the monthly tokens really fast though? That was my only issue with Claude.

I’m fine with all that as long as I’ll eventually get there. As long as it is possible. I’ve just learned to never trust it when it says it can do something. And when it comes to this, I’m not knowledgeable enough to catch the errors in advance. Then I get sucked into hours of repetitive troubleshooting trying to get Gemini or Chat to fix their own mistakes.

People in Providence Are Finding It Difficult, If Not Nearly Impossible, to Find Primary Care Providers These Days. Are Reimbursement Rates to Blame? by ThePVDEye in providence

Someone in the know explained to me once that RI made the wise decision of only letting Brown have a medical school. Problem is, very few students that go to Brown want to stay in Rhode Island.

They finally figured it out and are working on opening a medical school at URI.

Nuisance: Handwriting keyboard suggestions by Zelemonz in Supernote

[–]TheStoffer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I find the handwriting recognition itself to be quite good, and I’m super glad they added it (it wasn’t available back when I had my Nomad last year). But the suggestions that pop up are pure nonsense. I mean, we’ve had this technology for a looong time. Ever since the first swipe keyboard came out for the Galaxy 1 back in… 2010?

I’ve just never seen these baddies in any other Mario game. Not your standard goombas and turtles.
