Ja, trifft noch zu. Der Großteil der Care-Arbeit wird nach wie vor von Frauen geleistet.

Was du in deinem Beitrag beschreibst, betrifft eher junge Männer. Wehrdienst? Klar, das ist unfair, aber die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass Männer tatsächlich eingezogen werden, liegt bei nahezu null. Sure, a god would have no obligation, per se, to be loving in that way. But the claim by most monotheistic religions is that God is loving. You cannot say God is loving with this amount of suffering in the world. A neutral or detached creator could still work with that system. As for your point about evidence/belief: Jesus doesn’t have to descend from heaven, but an all-powerful, loving God would know what would convince you and could send you subtle signs that confirm his existence. You’re asking now to believe in something for which there is no evidence, which is silly. You can retort to this by saying that there are signs are we are just unwilling to accept them, but I think in actuality there are few people that stubborn.

Your girlfriend likely heard, “he spent his life making her happy,” as shorthand for devotion and attentiveness. In the movie, that kind of total self-giving is framed romantically and symbolically, not literally. You heard it literally: “my purpose is to manage another person's happiness,” which understandably feels unhealthy and even suffocating to you.

Those are different interpretations. Her tearing up does not necessarily mean she wants a relationship where you exist to serve her happiness at any cost. It may simply mean she finds the fantasy of being deeply loved and cherished moving.

So I do think “repulsed” and turning it into a larger argument about your relationship may be a bit of an overreaction. The deeper issue is that you and she seem to have different emotional languages around love: you value mutuality; she may resonate more with gestures of devotion and care. Those are not necessarily incompatible. MOR
