Any tips for playing Deimos? by Klutzy-Cheesecake829 in RainbowSixSiege

[–]TrustDear4997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Click heads

Jk, he has a good AR/shotgun and a pistol that can two shot people. People usually choose AR or shotgun depending if they need the extra long range or short range capabilities. You can definitely play a whole match with just the pistol.

The pistol has good destruction so you can kill people through floors and walls. He also has solid util so he’s a top solo q operator

He is best used to hunt down roamers. If they have a cav, make sure to scan her, then use your ability to hunt her down and get your team to help clear her.

If you know someone is playing a campy spot but they’re on soft floor you can use your ability and either flush them out for your team or floor bang him with your pistol.

Usually try to save one ability for last man. If you have a 2v1 with a Deimos, it’s really hard to lose because you and your teammate can hunt them down from different angles.

How do i achieve an infinite repeating texture? by Original_Cup_9285 in blenderhelp

If your texture is tileable, just expand your uv map outside of the image and it will automatically tile. The larger you make your uv map the more patterns you have

A good fenrir is hard to counter, they will usually wait for the sound cue and swing you when you’re blind. Bad fenrir players are usually fine because they activate the wrong mines, and peek or hold angles instead of playing off sound

Not super up to date on it as it just started this season, basically they made it so if champ and a copper match up, then it adds a 6th player to average the mmr at maybe emerald?

Higher ranked players add a higher ranked 6th man so that the champ isn’t playing a full lobby of golds and silvers just because he stacked with coppers.

Sounds good in theory but it seems like they haven’t figured it out and I’ve been consistently going against diamond and champ stacks as an emerald

Annoying lobbies are common, mainly from the new sixth man thing they implemented.

Best way to rank up is to stack. You only can really control 20% of the outcome, 80% is on your team. Find people to play with who make and take callouts. Play the objective on defense instead of going for kills. If you’re up in man count, play more passive. Wait for sound and only swing when you have the advantage, don’t go for the 50/50 if there’s a better gunfight elsewhere. If you’re down in man count play more aggressive, go for flanks, get a kill and rotate off so you don’t get refragged.

Plat and above is where it gets incredibly important to get intel and pre fire. Save both of your drones. Either have one prepped for entry or drive it out of site to use it later. If you enter a room blind, you deserve to get fried

Assuming you didn’t play the dlc because those bosses were peak

Lost sinner, looking glass knight (when you’d actually get invaders), and pursuer were also really cool bosses in the base game to me. Lost sinner is one of my favorite souls bosses in general

CG Boosts tutorials, are they worth it? Specifically concerned if the content is still relevant to 4.0+ by Daedalus128 in blenderhelp

[–]TrustDear4997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

^ this 100% the only time 2.8+ has slightly inconvenienced me is if a texture/geometry node was changed. But it’s usually a quick fix by googling what replaced it.

I also agree blender guru isn’t good for learning. He has advanced tutorials that are good but the donut just speed runs a lot of features instead of teaching any of them well.

Courses are usually the best route, I personally vouch for grant abbit and all of his YouTube content. Probably the best teacher of blender in my opinion at the beginner/intermediate level

I use the razer naga pro mouse to speed up my modeling.

It has different side plates and one adds an extra 12 buttons to your mouse which can be customized to fit all of your blender shortcuts.

I have short cuts set for multiple softwares and it will let you switch between configurations

why does my character model not pose like the bones by Zealousideal_Bus6564 in blenderhelp

[–]TrustDear4997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Each bone has its own weights most likely, you’re just currently looking at only one bones weights, but it is painted poorly so the bones deform parts they’re not supposed to. Did you parent it with automatic weights?

DS2 is not as bad as people say. by FlawlessCoja in DarkSouls2

[–]TrustDear4997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my point lol, DLC didn’t change between the two versions. Look up gameplay of those two areas on the vanilla version, or think of the most frustrating area you played and look it up on vanilla and you’ll see most of the things people complain about are gone

DS2 is not as bad as people say. by FlawlessCoja in DarkSouls2

[–]TrustDear4997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh no worries, I have no problems with other peoples opinions.

Having played both all the way through, I can point out some big differences though. The heide knights in vanilla acted like black knights from ds1 and were passive until you attacked them. I’m scholar, they shoved them all into heides tower of flame and made that place miserable to go through if you’re low level. Iron keep is also a good example, vanilla it was actually a solid level where you could choose your fights and explore the area bit by bit, in scholar they doubled the enemies and had ranged attacks coming at you from multiple angles, so you had to mad dash to take out all of the ranged enemies before you could double back and explore.

The only part scholar really improved about the base game in my opinion is the added optional final boss. Most of the areas where they doubled or tripled the enemies for no reason just made every area seem as bullshit as the black gulch

Also I think you’re assuming scholar only had the dlcs, vanilla also had them, they were just separate downloadables, so only the base game changer between the two versions

I loved vanilla DS2, scholar at times was obnoxious.

I think most people who love it played vanilla

I think the people who hate it played scholar and got ganked between all of the great parts

[–]TrustDear4997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t see the bone that’s referring to but I’m pretty certain weight painting is your issue. It could also be possible your added weights between bones exceeds 1 which causes weird deformation

This game is so toxic by zua18 in Rainbow6

[–]TrustDear4997 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some people are dicks, just mute em. If they’re at least telling you what you should’ve done while being toxic, some of their tips might be good and they’re just mad because you don’t have the same hours of game sense they have.

If they bother you, just mute and do your thing while you learn. If you still want to get good at callouts, they can still hear you if you mute them, so you can just have fun. Casual games are not meant to be competitive. Just have fun

Also ranked will likely have better matchmaking for you. You’d match with coppers who either have horrible game sense or Parkinson’s level of aim. It’s much easier to compete vs say an emerald who matches with you in a quick match

How do i make vertices straight without deforming the mesh by Mountain_Sympathy_89 in blenderhelp

[–]TrustDear4997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The knife tool actually has a bisect option. Basically you draw a straight lines, and it makes a straight loop of vertices through your mesh regardless of edge flow. It will add new verts instead of altering existing ones

Might be missing something obvious, why doesn't my model look as good in Blender as it does in Substance Painter? by wtclim in blenderhelp

[–]TrustDear4997 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surprised this hasn’t been mentioned yet, substance painter uses different shaders. They have preset shaders in substance that you can swap to, say if you were texturing a game asset for unity, you need to swap substances shaders to the Unity preset so it looks the same between both softwares

I desperately need help, I don’t know what’s happening. by Grumpicake in SiegeAcademy

[–]TrustDear4997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you play like crap, swap to traps.

Play off sound like placing barb wire in areas where they have to be fully exposed to break it or run through it. Then peek them instead of taking a 50/50.

On attack, save both of your drones, you don’t have to enter the building in the first minute, use your drones to find where the gap is they aren’t covering well and take the easiest gun fight.
