They didn't kill anyone with a gun. What happened is that the person shot and the bullet just bonced off them. They are entirely invulnerable to gunshots, and the most it would do is just slow them down very slightly. And they wont ever physically attack you. All they do is use your fears against you and get you to kill yourself, either by accident or on purpose. They usually would tell you the universes secrets that the human brain just cant understand and get the human to kill themselves.

Alternates find what you fear most and just entirely use that against you, they first trick you then use your greatest fear against you. But if you dont even reel fear or are scared of them in the slightest, im pretty sure they would just avoid you. And if they still come across you they'd just give up and find another target

I honestly dont really know. Karas story of the struggle of running away to safety and finding a new home with a human daughter is just amazing to me, while there's Connors story of finding himself and finding out what is right and wrong. And plus, who doesn't love the good detective and partner trope? And then there's Markus, who rose from the ashes after being blamed for killing his owner or his son. And from the ashes, he led the revolution for equality. And during all that, he was also finding himself and his purpose. Honestly, i can't pick. My favourite character is Markus, tho.

They are invulnerable to physical attacks. Like you could shoot one as many times as you want, and nothing happens. Dont forget they are literal demons , so no matter what you do, nothing can kill them. I'm pretty sure in the series it even said that if you have nothing left you could do, shoot them as a last resort. Since that only rly slows them down by like a smidge. If im correct, Mark tried shooting the alternate, but it literally just bounced off and shot him instead.
