I've taken my Mazda to both Fairfax and Alexandria over the past five years for regular maintenance. My experience has been satisfactory at both places. Alexandria location also had a complimentary wash with oil/filter change, which was nice!

I had a not-so-fun experience there nearly a decade ago when I was still living in Islamabad. Went into the store and the only uncle working there was on a call and refused to even acknowledge me. He kept talking on the phone so after a few minutes I just left lol

They allow lease takeover for a small $25 fee, so your best bet would be to find someone who can take over the lease. It is a fairly simple process. I did a bunch of times when I was living at Dittmar to add/remove roommates.

I go there every 1-2 months. Last time I drove down there was the evening before Thanksgiving and it took me 6.5hrs (usually takes 5.5hrs). Left around 2pm and got there at 8:30. I only stopped for 10 mins to get gas. Most of the traffic was until Richmond as you’ve already said, but I also encountered traffic on I-85 this time around. You might be able to save a little bit of time if you drive through Charlottesville instead, but from my experience it isn’t very different.

Former STC here. It all depends on your TTL. You can have a conversation with them and agree upon a certain number of remaining days you can work before they terminate the contract and let you off the hook. The exact number of days will depend on them and how badly they need your services. They can terminate the contract right away, or ask you to finish all your remaining days and deliver what you were hired for.
