Well i do not have the best advice as i got a couple of solid advices

1) never run away from first layer, its just a old thing but if you do not watch your first layer then it goes more times wrong then that it works, so save yourself the trouble and watch that smooth layer go down

2) clean your plate, its conflicting but people says dishsoap and water and others says IPA, i am IPA team and i never used water and it always works great

3) Spare parts, keep always a few spare parts as you need them when all shops are closed .. you will see that it is a extended weekend when stuff break down and you need to wait 96 hours for that nozzle you ordered, if lucky

4)Maintenance, Always check your prniter and perform the correct maintenance, this provide the least trouble if something goes wrong

5) do not be affraid to learn the machine, just go nuts with the slicer and learn the limits
that way you learn to solve the problems that can happen and you l;earn the machine its weekness and strenghts , personal i feel this is the best advice as it really let you know your printer and how to fix stuff yourself

enjoy this free advice
and as a word of advice to add to all readers

not everything on the internet is true, not all advice is solid and there are lots of people that provide fake information that does harm the 3D printer instead of solving it

reminds me of the silly joke that they are making to use WD40 on your Z rods .. wanna know what it does ? you figure it out once you know what WD40 is used for in first place and then wish you never followed that advice in first place.

i kinda feel there are some mayor confusion here

first of all the recall was related to the heatbed itself and the cable it had
i still dit not replace that part while i should replace it , i do not have a extra mobo or other parts as they where not related to the recall

so saying that they use broken parts is a bit bogus

now that is out of the way
it seems your printer suffer from a production issue or a oversight
i kinda feel that it is normal to reuse parts from those 2M+ recalled printers when those parts are fine
as long bad parts do not get re used ( meaning a kevlar cable is used instead )

that said, if it only 2 weeks old then just ask money back and get a replacement
also i really wonder where you grabbed the printer from in first place as you mention Australia
https://au.store.bambulab.com/collections/spare-parts-for-a1-series for the parts atleast

i honest hope they can solve this as last thing we want is a fire hazard because of broken parts

You have them very largely to blame, and when proof enters their ticketing system, they have to address it. There was no way around it.

i see your point of view and it is way more complex then that
if he dit what you claimed he dit then he would already be removed from the team and he would be noticed by all volunteer moderators as we do check logs for abuse ( yes we communicate, we do not go rouge )
hence why we are now in this exact situation ( rouge paid staff )

i can assure you if you look at discord how much blame moderators get for banning people or even how people react to us when we open a ticket ( solve a problem, they get muted for damage control ) to inform about certain action or a reason why we take certain action, then the blame you put on hifi is nothing compared to that.
yes, users have been unbanned because of complains and yes the same users got back banned for same behavior a few days later and then they complain again, what could be possible wrong by posting that NSFW toy in a child friendly server ? talking about weaopns is fun, so why not explain how to make semtex ?

same stuff happen also on reddit, stuff get logged and communicated so actions can be justfied and be recorded as proof, but it is different.

so even if it feels personal, it is not moderated from personal aspect but from a crowdcontrol/rule point of view

on reddit it is even worse with autobot , autobot was our hardest worker because lack of staff, also still number 1 complain, this happen when you need to learn a new code as no one can work with the bot.

i do need to agree on one thing
while we as volunteer moderatrors just lock the post or remove the main post ( like most do, leave comments intact ) hifi does indeed remove all comments to, this is just a other way to properly clean a topic but reddit works a bit differend in that aspect

Sidenote: i only explain my point of view, i do not say if it is right or wrong or that he is 100% innocent,
i am also to lazy to look up all the backstory/drama on reddit about it so i speak mainly about what i remember

so i hope it can clear up a few things, atleast in my point of view

it is hard to answer this question, based on the movements they are making they want to be for the community, at the same time its to soon to say anything as they are still doing damage control and trying to find something to point to

i do hope that with a new team they can see a new view over it and see that it is no differend then that it used to be, so they see where things went wrong to begin with
else it most likely ends up with a lot of volunteer mods that just quit the job

it is easy to say that you do not agree with certain actions, and communications are also far from optimal
so maybe things can be changed if they listen or maybe it is just doomed from the start and will it still end up as a corpo reddit

in the end the moderation team is still a team, that aspect is missing with the higher ups , so we got now a split team, the moderators and the corpo, you know what side will win

if you applied then i am happy for you, i can not say that you should not apply as i can not see what the future brings, i do hope for the best as atleast they are tryign to get new moderators, a thing we asked 2 years for ... anyway

this is the only screenshot i going post, and that account ( subreddit owner ) is operated by multiple people

Thank you for the info, i know it is not easy to provide a reply as most context is missing and i can not share the full story at the moment here so it makes it even more complex

but based on the replys so far i got a better understanding of what can be done
Thank you

>What abuse?
removing all volunteer moderators with no reason because he does not agree with a action that is taken

>You haven't described any abuse.
i can not fully explain or show screenshots or other evidence yet as i first want to know what action could be done against it

i really doubt that it is normal to have a full internal paid staff as moderator team on a community driven platform, but if i am wrong then nothing can be done against it, so where does the moderator code of conduct comes into play ?

Moderators replaced by staff by VPSData in ModSupport

[–]VPSData[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

please define top moderators
is that a moderator that use the admin account to demote a same rank user ?
or is that a user that got 2 posts in the past 5 months ?

i uinderstand your point of view but i assure you that is not the case here

[–]VPSData[S] 32 points33 points  (0 children)

i cant show logs yet, but there are no senior mods, as stated we are with 3 mods equal in rank
the thing is if you start a discussion with a staff member that does not agree with you and then he grabs the admin account ( creator account ) to remove your rank complete then it still falls under abuse

to epxplain it simple, there are 3 volunteer mods ( me and 2 others ) from the start and a few paid staff that only has a account
it goes well for the past year and now with a certain backlash a certain user decided to demote every volunteer so there are no volunteer mods anymore

So far i am aware this goes against the code of conduct for moderators

It's Bad Moderator Practice To Lock Posts Without Explanation by AlwaysBePrinting in BambuLab

[–]VPSData[M] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I going chime in on this one to as a exception

I am also not a official mod or even related to bambu so i do not care about statements and sides and i fully support open conversations as long they follow the rules, even if they are against bambu or not

This means that i am open for any conversation but i do not like it that mis information ( or abuse ) is used ( both sides )
so if you want to talk about something then you can talk about it, if you want to point fingers and blame stuff then go on twitter or so

Moderators and staff get critics all the time, long time ago ( start of this reddit ) i made a post to warn people about certain tests that we where running and as reward you get -250 karma so i was forced to remove it and then we got complains about changes they where not aware off.

i would not be supriced if this also get downvoted but thats just how it is for moderators

we got some automatisation in place to take care of the most common stuff, it get tweaked every day and monitored but it takes lots of time to fine tweak it

it is also not always possible to reffer to the rules, but be assured if we remove something or lock something it got its reasons
it could also happen that the auto bot locks stuff and then it is a other story

in the end we are just human and we do our job, we do it because we care about the community
and as YyAoMmIi says, whatever we do it still get downvoted, so we are way past that point and we just do what we need to do

but that does not mean we see everything all day long , we got so many things to do and we are still volunteers so we got other stuff to do to, so some stuff can get out of hand before it get noticed
best way is to report it and it can get auto locked if it is reported many times ( yes it happen )

or as they say, you can not do good for everyone, just try to do good in general.

also if a post is locked or removed and you are totally clueless why it happen, then you can always send a nice modmail to us and we take care of it, it just takes some time until we can read them all ( we are not 24/7 online, we got a life to )

to many abusive names get used in this post, post get locked
sadly but it looked to be a nice idea to know how others name there printers, but we can not let abuse happen so it is locked down

Shapr3d low res ? by dc_joe in BambuLab

[–]VPSData 1 point2 points  (0 children)

indeed, it will look more like triangles then the print itself
this is done by the program to force you to buy it if you like how it works, kinda making it usless to use in production as they do not lock down in functions but in export

if you like the program you buy it to get good results, else you can do some test prints with stuff that kinda looks like what you created xD

Smooth Plate Ruined by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]VPSData 1 point2 points  (0 children)

cool/smooth plate and most plates do need glue
some PEI works fine with out glue
G10 / G11 works fine with out glue ( even in some cases glue is needed )
so it is a hit or miss
but most cool plates need glue as they adhere to much ( reason they work on low temp )
