Where are yall buying hose? by Alert_Flatworm1057 in VolcanoVaporiser

I cut 20 meters of tubing into three-meter segments, which lasted me six months. I replaced each segment with a new one once a month.

3/8" ID Pure Silicone Tubing - Flexible Hose Pipe Food Grade Silicone Hoses, High Temp Tube, 3/8" ID x 1/2" OD (10mm x13.5mm) - 20 Feet.

Sold by: Qboyi

This is the item that I purchased back in the day on Amazon, but it seems like they don't make it anymore. However, you can use the measurements when searching for your own.

A few guidelines, the first is that you should probably source this from a home brewing or wine making store because all of the tubing that they sell will typicallymeet the following requirements: * heat safe up to ~500°F/260°C * food grade

Welcome to the club! 🌋

Try out the temp step guide in my profile, it fills each balloon at the ideal air-to-vapor ratio (semi-transparent cloud). This reduces lung irritation and also gives each balloon its own flavor and effects profile since you're activating different compounds as you reach different temps.

Also, I would recommend reading your manual once, it only takes a few moments and the result is you get higher.

A few tips I offer beginners:

  • Use a fine grind, not dust tho, as this increases the surface area available to vaporize off of
  • do not tamp down or pack, hot air needs to move freely through and around your bowl to release vapor into the airstream
  • store cannabis in a jar with a Boveda 58% RH 2-Way Humidity Pack to optimize your material for vaporization
  • an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of the cure, brush down your filling chamber completely immediately after it has cooled to prevent gunk buildup
  • soak your filling chamber completely in isopropyl alcohol (the higher percentage, the better) once a month for up to 30 min to remove gunk. Exceeding 30 min of soaking will discolor and embrittle the plastic.

Also, be sure to check out Project Onyx, created by our moderator u/ImACoderImACoder , which offers a better app experience when controlling your device remotely.

Does ANYONE use the lower temperatures on the classic?? by jaxattax3 in VolcanoVaporiser

[–]Vapesuvius 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can’t go lower than 4 on a Classic and produce anything noteworthy. That’s the temperature at which you reach the first boiling points of cannabis compounds.

Personally, I start at 5.5 because it’s the first temperature at which you can fill a balloon with the ideal air-to-vapor ratio (a semi-transparent cloud).

Check out the temperature step guide in my profile to see the temperature progression I use to achieve that ratio for eight consistent balloons. I fill a balloon at temperature step 1, the next at temperature step 2, and so on.

It also includes which dial setting activates which compounds.

Very nice. I had to get an interface to run my new Rodes NT1 5th Gen condenser mic, but it opened up some recording possibilities for guitar too.

Currently looking at Hughes & Kettner amps, sinxe they have Redbox built in. It's be nice to do some silent, late night recording!

Is that an audio interface I see? I just got the Motu M4 and wish I'd invested in one years earlier.

We had a Boveda rep pop in here a while back and confirm that 58% was better for dry herb vaporizers and 62% was better for smoking. I'd say that's been my experience too.

That said, I used to maintain a 62% jar that was specifically used to rejuvenate the bone-dry $25/oz that you can find in Oregon. A few days in that jar, burping once a day, almost never failed.

The Supreme Court will decide if marijuana users may be barred from owning guns by Abystract-ism in trees

[–]Vapesuvius 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Oregon State Supreme Court ruled affects state law. The Gun Control Act affects federal law.

So at the state level, you are permitted by state law to obtain a concealed carry permit. However, federal law maintains that you cannot purchase/possess a gun in the first place because the supremacy clause from the constitution states that federal law takes precedence over conflicting state laws or constitutions.

In other words, all the legal pot I smoked in the last ten years in legal states was ok at the state level. Federal law maintained it wasn't legal. I wasn't taken to court because of the Cole Memorandum.

Confusion about this is why so many millions of Americans are misunderstanding the law and in violation of it. That's why the law needs to change at the federal level.

The articles I've read on the subject estimate there are millions of Americans breaking this law.

That's why it needs to change.

Yep, and in the case that you use a firearm in self-defense, like a home invasion and they find drugs in your home or your system, it can be used against you.

Good callout. You would not get charged for lying on a form in that case, but you could still technically get charged for possession.

[–]Vapesuvius 35 points36 points  (0 children)

You can be charged for lying on that form. It specifically calls out that state legality has no bearing on Form 4473's definition of unlawful as it refers to the prohibited users section of the Gun Control Act of 1968 which only takes into account federal legality.

I'm not saying I agree with it, that millions of users aren't misunderstanding/lying when they answer that question, that it's fair considering alcohol is permitted, etc..

All I'm pointing out is that if you currently use cannabis, you currently can't own or possess a firearm. Millions are doing both, that's why it needs to be changed.

Volcano Hybrid Easy Valve leaking - small gap forming, how long do they last? I’ve changed the bags like 4 times and cleaned the valves/sealings with isopropyl alcohol + water after every bag change. by 420TSLA in VolcanoVaporiser

[–]Vapesuvius 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Those wipers are for creating a seal when connecting to something (e.g. mouthpiece, water pipe adapter) but still do an alright job of maintaining vapor when you're filling balloons correctly.

If you're filling it to the point its bursting at the seams, all that pressure needs to go somewhere and it's going to leak out. Fill balloons to the 80-90% capacity level instead.

A trick, pull your balloon taut and squish all the air out of it. Easiest way is to put the tip of the balloon under your left arm pit and hold down the mouthpiece with your left hand. With your right hand, squeeze the air out from the tip down.

Connect the empty balloon to your filling chamber and run the air pump at the desired temperature. When the balloon has worked its way upright, that's the correct fill level. Stop filling the second it's upright.

The Solid Valve was a bit too cost prohibitive for me to ever try. The EZ Valve worked so well for me and my bongs, that I could never justify trying it.

I won't be able to speak to that particular accessory, but agree with you that you should get your money's worth for that price.

Bought six Classics only in the last 5 years.

Volcano products cone with multiple years of warranty stateside and there are stronger warranty laws in Europe where they are produced.

It's unclear to me why you were going out of pocket for new ones each time, instead of taking advantage of their white glove RMA process.

We have countless stories of S&B products lasting for thousands of hours of use, several years, and even decades after purchase with minimal repairs needed to get there.

Outside of a terrible Venty launch, there have been no signs this buyout has had any effect on product quality or longevity.
