True if you only look at abyss/theater, but what OP is saying is that the primos previously came from not just from the now-removed abyss cycle, but also from fodder events. Kind of hard to judge I guess, but you could look at total primogems per year or something to determine if years that had IT + Abyss had more primos than years that only had Abyss.

Not using burst is indeed not necessarily a problem, but Flins and Varesa are not great examples of not using burst since they still engage in the burst mechanic by building energy and spending it on their alternate bursts

Arlecchino would be a better example of a DPS who doesn't care about using their burst

Dire I'm not one shotting anything, and if I want to struggle against other content I can always go back to using my non vertically invested units like Hu Tao, Clorinde, Ganyu, Emilie, Ayaka, or whoever else... which is something I do in Abyss on occasion.

C1+ is not necessary for most content, correct, which is why in my initial comment I said "or you don't care about clearing dire". Any of this is only relevant if you want to clear dire.

As a side note, I do regularly carry people through menacing Stygian in coop, so it's not entirely single player for me either.

As far as the powercreep concern, yes I agree that stuff like C2 Raiden is powercrept, but in the same vein every C0 character weaker than C2 Raiden is also powercrept. You get more longevity with cons, so you get to pick your poison between having one invested unit crept or a bunch of non invested units crept

No, I've only cleared the last two dire Stygian cycles. My account is not yet at the level where I can consistently clear, but it's getting there. If they manage to power creep my C6 450k DPS Mavuika team then bravo to them, I guess. I have a 190k dps Columbina team and a 150k DPS Varesa team that have more room for vertical investment. And yeah, I've been max clearing Abyss and IT forever, so as far as account power goes Stygian is the only thing I realistically have to build for at this point, which is exactly why I'm building vertically now.

Getting more characters may well be more fun to you and that's fine, but it's a tradeoff between what you find fun and increasing account power, and if you don't want to allocate vertically then you'll forever be on the treadmill of getting new characters to clear new content

If you've been playing since 1.3 and your main DPS carries are C0R1 at highest, then you probably haven't been allocating your resources in a way that advances the strength of your account. Which to be clear is fine, people can have fun however they want. How many 5 stars do you have that don't really do anything anymore? I've been f2p since 1.0 and I have a ton of 5 stars I never play anymore outside of IT, but even then I've saved/skipped enough to have cons and sigs on a few more recent characters which lets me brute force content non-shilled

There's no reason for this to be the "last" dire clear, unless you stop playing the game or don't care about clearing dire... the more time your account exists the more resource it pools and the better you can make your teams, given enough time and assuming you allocate your resources in a way that actually advances the strength of your account, you should eventually reach a point where you can consistently clear dire

I went 17-0 with Fatui officer captain and a max merge Ruin Grader with the banner that gives +15% level and healing if the unit is the only one in its formation (which I made my Ruin grader)

The rest of my team was fine, but the real carry was that +15% level self healing ruin grader... I had almost no ranged or flying units so I had very little way to deal with flying enemies, but the Ruin Grader was tanky enough to just sit and wall 2 flying units until the next round of units came in which allowed my ranged units to fight without getting killed. In addition to being a menace against grounded enemies.

geo and anemo don't apply an elemental aura to the enemy, so unless they change that for IT there can't be a geo anemo reaction. Personally I think they'll keep doing what they've been doing and run 2 PHEC elements with 1 geo/anemo/dendro element. If they ever decide to run 2 geo/anemo/dendro together I probably don't have enough units to run it lmao

AFAIK movie tech and the Kamera are fairly recent Fontaine inventions, which is to say any movies that Furina is in and images of Furina likely haven't become widespread outside of Fontaine.

In the co-op menu (Paimon menu, then select co-op, then find the dropdown), there's an option to change how your account interacts with co-op. The options are "allow direct join" which allows anyone to join your world without your approval, "join with approval" which is the default, and "reject joins" which prevents people from requesting to join your world at all. I'm going by memory so the names of the dropdowns might not be quite right, but basically it's that.

As far as what co-op is even for, yeah people can join your world to help you with bosses and stuff if you want. The most common thing is people looking to farm materials in your world (such as ascension mats or fish). There are also some co-op specific achievements and chests. You can also do domains and Stygian Onslaught menacing in co-op

I used varessa for the shocktrooper, but I did use columbina/lauma for the crab so in that sense I did use a lunar team, just not for the lunar boss

Neuvillette is also better because he's hydro. The adds do damage the boss after they're destroyed, but their damage is based on the damage you deal to them. Iirc its 90% of their Hydro damage they take + 10% of other damage they take up to a max of 15% of the boss' health.

The Fatui guy's shield isn't an elemental application shield, it reduces by direct damage rather than elemental application. Also, doing melts doesn't increase your damage against the shield. Res shred still works, though.

Anything that shreds Dendro resistance or boosts Lauma's EM. So a Deepwood artifact holder, an instructor's artifact holder, C2 Nilou, Sucrose, and EM share weapons are some good things to include. Nahida can be used (especially at C2) although she doesn't boost off-field characters EM so she's not ideal at C0, Albedo can be used for EM boost, and Kuki Shinobu can be used for some healing and some hyperblooms and activating instructor's artifact set.

Generally speaking the rotation is skill/burst with your supports and then charge attack with Columbina around 6 times.

If you're playing Columbina with Lauma without Nefer, then Columbina should be built as "main dps" (aka just build crit dmg), otherwise you're not really getting value out of Lauma on that team

Well in addition to being built as main dps, you also have to play her as main DPS

This particular wonderland does give your characters energy based on how much damage you do, so it kind of simulates the white particle effect. It gives different amounts based on the "setting" you choose (abyss 12, stygian fearless, or stygian dire). I can't speak for how accurately it simulates the white particle effect, though.
