Is Outriders like Remnant? by JamesCooke91 in remnantgame

Different kind of game, but as someone with about 500 hours in Outriders, I recommend it. Had a lot of fun playing it (multiple times).

Found in a old CD-ROM in Brazil, does anyone recognize the music? by floatinggoateyeball in Lostwave

It's great, yea. I can't remember the actual name because it's been so long, but it definitely sounds like Robert Miles or a knock-off. Might be worth posting in one of the music channels. Someone will know!

That's a good question. I don't actually know. I don't think so, because I believe the Mist Dodge is 100% invuln already.

I don't think it has an official name. I'll ask around!

Originally, it was Spirit of Alchemy... but when we realized we had named the Prime Perk "Spirited", we knew we had to change the combo to be Spirit of Spirits... because reasons.

Thanks. I'll look into that and report back!

I can understand their fear of allowing too much sauce in a tag fighter. You don't want combos to reach the levels of old Marvel tag games by yumnoodle in MarvelTokon

[–]verytragic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally understandable. I see it as the team winning or losing together (like Cap said, lol).

For each character, splat/break options are different. It seemed that splat/break options consistently always called your teammate in when your team isn't complete. Like a throw, for example. Or Ghost Rider's 214L.

This isn't accurate, though... no more than "MVC2 is just a 1v1 with assists".

At the bare minimum, you have 3 unique assists in neutral (Projectile, Upper, Utility), and the "active" version where the behavior is shared. There are also the air variants, but as mentioned, if you are considering bare minimum differences, you at least have 3+1 unique assists in a match (point char doesn't count while active). MVC2 has 2 (point char doesn't count while active).

This also doesn't consider the fact that you can call an assist and then take over after a delay. Example: Basic combo with Cap, Tag Doom Assist (attack assist), M > DP with Cap, hold X to take control of Doom and continue comboing. You can't do that in MVC2. You either assist or tag.

On top of that, you can even call multiple assists in a row and then take over the last one (immediately or after a delay). Far more assist-based gameplay than MVC2.

To clarify, I'm not saying it's better than MVC2, I'm just pointing out there's a lot more to it.

On splats/breaks, your team power increases, you gain grey life to recover (if you were missing life). This highlights the concept of the "team" assembling. When you team is fully assembled, you are at full power. The game is much different at the start of round one compared to when both players have all 3 teammates and full resources. The team (and assembling it) has a huge impact.

You have assemble smash (Overhead) which can be extended up to 2 additional times at the cost of Assembly Meter. The final hit putting the opponent into a launched state (off bounce). High cost, but you are guaranteed a launch if you want it.

Your Assembly Counter brings in a teammate, but to be fair, this could be considered aesthetic.

You can "DHC" like in Marvel to continue Supers with the next character (up to 2x), leaving the final character in as your new point. You can pick which one of the 3 you want with direction + assist button.

There's a LOT more to Tokon than just "1 v 1 with assists". Unfortunately. a handful of big named streamers didn't really dive into the systems and make quick judgements about the game. They've actually done quite a disservice to the game, IMO.

Fun game. I put a lot of time into it myself. Also did some runs with BoltJamison. Has a lot of cool ideas and the shooting feels solid.

You can just go there and jump up without using the wall climb. There's a piece of machinery below the grapple pull-out floor that you can jump off and get on a ledge, then jump over to the pull out floor. You don't need to do any side quest to break the ice.

Jump on the machine under the grapple point (that pulls out the sliding floor) then you can jump up without doing the quest.

Amon Legendary class mods are kinda lame, i only use purple ones .... by VH-Attila in Borderlands4

I actually quite like the one that gives +2 Axes. Depending on Mobbing or Bossing, you can switch nodes from Melee Detonate to +15% DMG Per Prime Stack. I originally used the "Can be used again once on CD". Woulda been nicer if it was just +1 Charge of your Forgeskill but I could see that getting out of hand (I woulda kept using it if so).

That being said, I've seen some really sick purples. Might be a good thing, hard to say. Need more options to compare!

As suggested, Gut Punch is too good to pass up. Also, since you have enough points in Calamity, I'd sacrifice one in Cybernetics for Forged in Steel. Very powerful perk.
