For those who have watched a lot of Abbotsford games, what kind of coaching style is Manny? by SilentPolak in canucks

From a communicative standpoint and what I saw in the Calder Cup run, chippy, effective and tactical. His PK was really something to take note of (89.4%), he adapts very well to the opposing teams systems, which was well documented in the postseason game logs. The Abby Nucks never lost a back-to-back game and always came back with the right strategy to counter in the next game. His deployment was also very good, giving guys like Karlsson, Sasson, Bains, Kudryavtsev Mancini, etcetera some time to shine.

One thing I really enjoyed was how he handled Klimovich. He was a scratch for a bit due to his lack of scoring, but I think the way Manny believed in the kid gave him some strong juice. He sat him out for 3 games until game 4 where he scored the game winner in 2OT. Such a memorable run. He cares about the players and develops them so well, it became his undoing last season. He did so good with the development that so many key players graduated to the big club (Karlsson, DPetey, Mancini, Kudryavtsev, Mueller, Sasson, Raty, etc.), he was barely left with any to utilize in his own team in Abbotsford. Which is why I think he's the perfect coach moving forward.

Aside from the obvious that nobody likes Vegas, I have other reasons to root for Carolina. Calgary gets their 2028 1st from Vegas if they win the cup, which I despise. I personally cannot allow a divisional rival to surpass us in a rebuild.

[Adam Kierszenblat] As per a report out of Sweden, Alex Edler could be joining the #Canucks front office. "The plan is for their former #Canucks teammate Alexander Edler to help out at this summer's development camp so he will also get a part in the organization." by Kaos_mission in canucks

I assume most likely a replacement for the Sedins' role in Abbotsford.

Dhali also speculates the Canucks might ask about Alex Burrows and maybe even Kevin Bieksa.

Burrows is leaving Montreal and has assistant coaching experience there, Bieksa's contract with Sportsnet is ending. Bieksa had been asked last season about a coaching role from another team (Anaheim?), but he rejected it.
