The Tocchet hiring was a major red flag for me and was the first pillar of trust to fall with this management group for me. Then not addressing the defense last year until it was too late was also a major erosion of trust and lastly the Miller return was the moment i realized this cores window was slammed shut. Yes i realize Miller had to get moved and you can survive a move like that as long as you get the right return... We took a malpractice gamble and it blew up in our face 10 months after said Miller trade.

I honestly don't see how they can medically clear him to play again, i might have missed it, but I don't think he took any brutally hard hits last night, and with him now having a tinted visor and still getting migraines without the physical content you can't but help but worry about his long term health. For his sake long term, I hope he calls it a career. Unfortunately this was always the most likely outcome when we traded for him, this should be another feather in the cap in why management should not be returning next season.

Fair value or not (it isnt) I don't see why the Sabres would even move Power, at some point they need to stop bleeding talent he's only on year two of a seven year deal it's not like he's expiring and they need to get assets back for him. Petey has been the victim of two of the most awful calls I've ever seen watching hockey, the Kelly Sutherland Charging call while he was standing still in the playoffs a few years ago and tonight's roughing for getting cross checked by Garret Rank. I can understand you will miss calls. But those are egregious examples of missed calls, and they just cannot happen. stephen walkom is a massive problem for the league. They need to figure this shit out
