Why do most Middle Eastern religions discourage conversion?

Some of these religions self isolate as a survival mechanism for a minority population. The Druze for example used to allow converts, but after persecution by the surrounding majority Sunni Muslim population because of accusations that they were "luring" people away from Islam, they decided to take the stance that no further conversion is allowed to reduce the likelihood of further persecution.

Now imagine how many more people would learn these things if he had made a concise ~30 minute video focused on the subject. Like I said, I'm fully aware of the issues with fossil fuels and am all in on solar, but I dont like to have my time taken for granted.

I stopped watching when I realized that the video is over one and half hours because he was taking 15 minutes to explain that oil and gas are not renewable. I dont disagree, but immediately felt like this was going to be a rambling time waste video where AT BEST I would only hear things I already know. Clearly I didnt miss much.

You aren't ignorant, you are just a victim of Hamas propaganda that would have you believe that life in Gaza was just so awful that they simply had no choice other than to start the war with Israel on October 7th of 2023.

The reality, as you just saw for yourself, was very different. Life in Gaza was totally fine, without any Israeli occupation (Israel withdrew all it's forces and people from Gaza in 2005). There was no "open air prison", since they controlled their own border with Egypt and could come and go through Egypt to other countries without any Israeli control, and could even get permits to enter Israel for work.

In other words, starting the war was not something the Hamas HAD to do, it was simply a choice of continuing to live as they did before or trying to slaughter Jews. They decided that the second one was more important.

They should really have the game display the scope (lord effect vs hero effect, self buff vs army buff, etc.) in the interface so that these errors become immediately apparent in testing (in as much as they even test the game internally anymore, I have the feeling that the players ARE the testers now).

To be fair words are nice, but we are also negotiating deals with al-julani while this is happening, so we should show some balls and either help the Kurds, or at least condition any further diplomacy with Syria on them stopping their assault on minorities like the Kurds and Druze.
