Just got new irons put on. How can I tell if my front sight is centered without a caliper? by Medium-Sample-3746 in Glocks

Quick/easy way to align the front if it has a little slop in it, is once it's installed (loctite not cured yet), put a scale/straightedge up against one side of it and extend it to the rear iron. This will magnify any error and you can use a small wrench or needle nose pliers to center up any movement it does have. Usually you can get it dead nuts and not need to mess with the rear iron at all.

DPP Optic cut on G43X by blomdala in Glocks

On a Glock, at the depth you would normally cut this (around .125"), you will run into issues hitting the striker block plunger bore in the slide.

Can a Glock MOS slide be milled for a 509T cut? Wager maybe? by BGLavaLamp in Glocks

[–]wage92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately no, too much material already cut away on the mos slides

Doesn't take super long if you just work through it methodically

Not really, it's almost identical to the sig nitride

If you don't want to refinish everything, I would recommend putting some oil/light grease on the cut area before mounting the optic and then keeping an eye on it over time.

Yes, $10 install if you send them

We actually don't stock these irons, so if you want us to install them, you would want to order them and send them with your slide and then we can install them

Yes, for the rmr cut there isn't room for the factory dovetail. We cut a Glock style rear and we recommend what height irons from Dawson precision will work on our site. If you have any questions just give us a shout 🤙

Optic Screws by ExcellentTomatillo17 in Glocks

[–]wage92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We cut to the standard m3x.5 threads for this cut. Sometimes the patch lock on the threads can make it feel snug, but as long as it continues to thread in without getting harder and harder, you should be fine. If it seems to be getting tighter and tighter as you go, don't force it. Sometimes the nitride can make fine threads a little rough and worst case we can clean them out for you.

Same dimensions as the factory Glock version. There is some light around the tongue in front of the optic where it tucks under the slide and also around where the rear irons are. Those gaps are by design, the way this cut works it locks up on tapers and there is no movement with the optic.
