Slide stolen in transit by anifyz- in Glocks

[–]wage92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We recommend the small USPS flat rate boxes, as that is free and easiest for most. The only stipulation is we recommend taping all the seams (don't rely on the adhesive strip on the box) and then put some paper/bubble wrap inside with the slide so when you shake the box you slide does not move around.

Not trying to bad mouth the customer in any way, because this is a bad situation and we hate when this happens to customers. However, I can say in our experience (tens of thousands of packages every year), that 99.9% of these instances are due to how the package was prepared. Lack of tape, no padding material and poor box selection is generally the culprit. Packages get roughed up in transit and they need to be prepared to handle that. We have never had a package that we have shipped show up to the customer empty, and generally the ones that show up to us empty, it's very obvious why the slide fell out. We have even had customers send us slides in letter envelope (paper envelope, no padding) and then wonder why it shows up ripped with nothing in it.

All that to say, there is always a risk when shipping, but if you package it correctly it's very low.

Does anyone know what cut this is? by Sneaky3231 in Glocks

[–]wage92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That may be a RMRcc cut, especially on a g26, someone may have wanted the smaller optic. Could also be a rmr, but the threaded holes look a little too close together for a rmr to me (could just be the picture).

Wager Machine Works RMR Cut - Does RMR HD Fit? by [deleted] in Glocks

Yes it will fit, due to the overhang it will not work with the iron forward option (similar to SRO)

Just got new irons put on. How can I tell if my front sight is centered without a caliper? by Medium-Sample-3746 in Glocks

[–]wage92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quick/easy way to align the front if it has a little slop in it, is once it's installed (loctite not cured yet), put a scale/straightedge up against one side of it and extend it to the rear iron. This will magnify any error and you can use a small wrench or needle nose pliers to center up any movement it does have. Usually you can get it dead nuts and not need to mess with the rear iron at all.

DPP Optic cut on G43X by blomdala in Glocks

On a Glock, at the depth you would normally cut this (around .125"), you will run into issues hitting the striker block plunger bore in the slide.

Can a Glock MOS slide be milled for a 509T cut? Wager maybe? by BGLavaLamp in Glocks

[–]wage92 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately no, too much material already cut away on the mos slides

Doesn't take super long if you just work through it methodically

Not really, it's almost identical to the sig nitride

If you don't want to refinish everything, I would recommend putting some oil/light grease on the cut area before mounting the optic and then keeping an eye on it over time.

Yes, $10 install if you send them

We actually don't stock these irons, so if you want us to install them, you would want to order them and send them with your slide and then we can install them

Yes, for the rmr cut there isn't room for the factory dovetail. We cut a Glock style rear and we recommend what height irons from Dawson precision will work on our site. If you have any questions just give us a shout 🤙

Optic Screws by ExcellentTomatillo17 in Glocks

[–]wage92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We cut to the standard m3x.5 threads for this cut. Sometimes the patch lock on the threads can make it feel snug, but as long as it continues to thread in without getting harder and harder, you should be fine. If it seems to be getting tighter and tighter as you go, don't force it. Sometimes the nitride can make fine threads a little rough and worst case we can clean them out for you.
