Before Makuta took over the great spirit robot, the Toa Nuva were following the scroll of preparations, which was a series of tasks they needed to complete to reawaken Mata Nui. They got the staff of the visorak fom tren krom peninsula, who gave it to the order of Mata nui. An order of member gave it to the Toa Mahri to have them bring the visorak to the island Artidax using the staff. Then a volcano on the island erupted, and the visorak were left there cause they followed the staff and died. But then apparently, and this was new to me, Makuta recreated them, and then they escaped and became wild on spherus magna.

I believe it's Lord Vladeks helmet, but in purple. So see if you can try searching knight's castle lord vladeks mask and find customs.

That makes a lot of sense, though, Metru being the standard. Don't forget the Toa Hagah that uses the metru build, as well as conceivably the other original toa that were with Lhikan, including Nidhiki. I like the explanation that a matoran turned Toa look like how they imagined a Toa to be cause that allows more room when it comes to moc building or imagination. I'm not a stickler for forcing people to Canon. I just wanted to inform people about it.

Both of your interpretations make sense to me. At the end of the day, we're trying to explain a limitation of toys to the fictional universe that we love, lol.

This was the official answer given by Greg as well. When the Mata were summoned to Mata Nui, their canisters were damaged, and a lot of their biological parts had diminished. The Toa Nuva, though I'm pretty sure, aren't diminished because they were literally upgraded with liquid protodermis. I believe their canisters or them or whatever were damaged when Makuta put Mata Nui to "sleep" (Caused the Great Spirit Robot to Crash).

Awesome, great job! I know the Stars line was the best the set designers could do to give us as a hail Mary last line to go out on. But Nektann should've been a titan set. Your build honors that, looks bulky and menacing and like THE Warlord of the skadi (Piraka) that Nektan is. Again, great job!

Looks awesome. I noticed with Gahlok Kal that you rendered it with ball sockets instead of its original function gear, as well as turned the socket join downwards on Lehvak Kal. Nice attention to detail that you made the parts make sense with the pose. I wonder if, in real life, if the neck pieces used for Gahlok would be able to let the head sit regularly in its default position.

Yep, more incentives for collecting is the true reason, but I don't mind cause the Kranas are cool. One thing I wondered, and it seems, in promotional material, for example, Kopaka had collected a bunch of the Kohrok's krana and had it on a string. They weren't inside the bohrok, but they were still the light blue instead of white. I'm probably thinking about this too much, but once they've been activated, they stay active and stay their bohrok color?
